Okay, I need your opinions. I went shopping this morning for some sandals and perhaps I should have tried a few more shops but I still shop with three preschoolers in tow. Anyway, I don't have any sandals for summer and with work coming up I decided it was time to get some. So my (difficult) shopping list was something like this:

* preferably can dress up with/without stockings for work, as well as dress down with jeans for comfy wear through summer

* has to fit well and be very supportive (because of having broken my foot earlier this year due to ill-fitting (floppy) sandals)

* lowish heel because I haven't worn any heel since March!

* I don't HAVE to wear stockings with them, my main shopping list item is that they must be cool for summer but nice enough to wear in an office (legal sec position).

So here's what I got...

Now tell me: Are they alright or do I look like a 24yo with "Grandma shoes"? I know there are heaps younger looking sandals out there but I need more support than most of them offer.

Tell me your honest opinion while I still have the receipt LOL!

Would depend what you're wearing them with, but they look OK to me. They'd look better with a skirt than pants tho IMO, and I'm not sure I'd wear stockings under them coz I have a thing about not wearing stockings under open toed shoes.

Kumps are great Teresa. They are a bit pricey for what they are BUT are quality shoes/sandals
Those shoes you have on look good to me. The question is are the good for you & are they comfy?

To answer questions... yep they are very comfy and I'd be wearing them with a knee-length A-line skirt or similar. I just chucked them on with my round home pants for the sake of a quick photo LOL

I reckon they'd be fine.. where did you go? #1 shoes has a heap of different options of short heels or sandals etc.. (in fact that's all they have, went looking for some tall heeled black closed in shoes to replce my old ones and found nuthin!)

Thanks Glow, but they don't really seem to have black corporate sandals.

Janine, I went to #1 *rolls eyes* but I have long, narrow, flat feet so I'm a difficult customer Kelly's would be my next bet, I'm too narrow for anything at Hannah's.

um, i think you look like a 24 yr old in granny shoes.
i personally also dont think that sandals are corporate or that they should be worn with stockings. oh and they dont look very supportive to me. you'd prob be better off with something flatter with a covered in toe, like "georgia" on this page here of the kumfs site. and then getting some fun sandals for casual.

They dont look very supportive in the ankle, esp with the little heel. I think they are a bit grandma looking as well. Oh, I like the look of those ones in Debs link. But this is from me who wears sneakers to work

A little bit nana'ish I think I wouldn't wear them but then I don't have 3 kids and I can imagine that comfort is vital so if they are comfe and you feel comfe in them then stick with them.

oooh, matey they are a bit on the nana side, sorry to say!
I have dodgy feet and ankles as well, and find hush puppies or kumfs good for work, I need corperatey type thingys as well BUT am loathe to sacrifice style for comfort or vice versa. Hush puppies are nice looking, comfy as and not too bad priced either. Good luck!
