Hi all,
I've never had a natural period (diagnosed with PCOS at 16 yrs old)
Has anyone else had this? and did anything you took bring them on naturally????
I'm currently on Metformin and Vitex

I was the same as you, but for some reason I managed to all of a sudden have 2 periods and get pregnant. It took a year of being off the pill to get them, so that may or may not have had something to do with that.
I was supposed to be on the one that brings AF on and clomid, as far as I'm aware the plan of attack was to keep upping the dosage until max, then begin injections at another clinic. If you are going through a specialist (which I'm assuming you are due to being on vitex etc), they will be able to advise you of the next step.

Hi wishing41 I have pcos too and have really long cycles, i tried herbs for 9 months (it can take up to 3 months for herbs to get into your system properly and for them to start working) and they didnt work for me and did 5 or 6 rounds of high dosage clomid and never ovulated on that either, the specialist put me on metformin and i had a procedure called ovarian diathermy where they basically drill holes in your ovaries that was about 2 and a half weeks ago now and i have been on metformin for about 2 1/2 months and have just ovulated on day 15 which was a big surprise. have you asked your specialist where you can go to from here? I hope he/she can provide you with some options!

Your gynae is the specialist isn't he? To be prescribing the drugs for you? Are you going private or public?
How long have you been on the drugs? From what I can remember they were going to do the clomid/provera cycles for about a year with us, and then move onto the harder stuff. Hope it happens quickly for you though.

Yeah, go thru him privately.
Did three rounds of Clomid ( 50mgs, 100mgs, 150mgs). First two with provera. now am on metformin for insulin resistance...
I just hate all this waiting business! As I'm sure many others are :)
