Topic: Ideas Please Posted: 13 October 2007 at 7:40pm |
Im hoping you lovley ladies can help me.
When I was pregnant with Lily I did a weekly Journal and I have done the same when Lily was born. This is printed out on A4 paper, can you lovely ladies give us some ideas on how I can display this so we can give to Lily when she is older.
I have already got a scrap book for her that we are updating all the time eg: birthday invites, wedding invites, milestones etc.
Look forward to hearing from you

What about getting it binded properly so its like a book for her, and get a hard cover to go on it.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

This isn't the DIY method you may be looking for but a few years ago my sister wrote a random funny book for her bf and just took it into a local printing place and they printed it with photos she provided on glossy paper and bound it with a hard cover with a photo on the front and the title in gold script. It doesn't cost too much depending on what paper etc.
Unfortunately my sister broke up with her bf before his b'day so he never got to see it!

The sort of binding I mentioned they would be able to undate because it is glued and everything but you could do volume1 "Before you were born" volume2 the first two years" etc they might be able to do one of those wire coil kink of bind(don't know what it's called) and I'm pretty sure you can add to those.

I think Warehouse stationary do binding or a printing place would do them.

or you could put two pages (one face out one way etc) in a plastic sleeve page and put them in a folder...that way you can add to it easily as you go...and then just decorate the folder...
I did one for DH of Our time together and we keep adding stuff to it....will be nice for Ella to see that one day about her parents...ummm from first email hook up til.....
