Well, five days to go...supposedly and I am still in one piece. Not impressed at all. Jake is enjoying "the belly". It makes a great trampoline and pillow. Poor little B2 will come out riddled with dents from its brother already!
Having an appointment with my midwife on Friday to have an internal so hopefully that will get things going. But if B2 is anything like its brother, another possible three weeks to go. Grrrrrr

But of course, mustn't feel sorry for oneself. At least this time Lewis has an open ticket back to japan and can change at any time. That makes it a little less stressful. And I still need to pack a bag!

Thanks. Oh lewis will be going back to japan until april. last time when Jake was born, he had a closed ticket - 28 days only. No changes! It's cheaper. Now his ticket is "open" for four months which means he can come and go any time, depending on seat availability. A bit more expenisve, but if baby is late, he can change it.

I know the feeling of waiting. My baby is 9 days overdue now. I'm probably going to have to be induced at the end of the week if he doesn't get a hurry up. I've tried everything except for castor oil which someone said was dangerous and I think would just make me sick.

I tried castor oil when pregnant with Jake. My nana is a nurse and said that it CAN work, not necessarily and will probably just give you cramps...lovely way to start labour huh! And it was FOUL stuff. If you must, mix with a strong juice like Orange.
I ended up being induced, and it wasn't as bad as the horror stories would have you believe.

Thanks for those who made me feel better about being induced because I'm booked to go in tomorrow night.
I had the membrane sweep yesterday. It was quite uncomfortable but didn't last long. i also had a bit of spotting afterwards and think I might of lost the mucus plug later. But it hasn't put me into labour yet. So it looks like inducement it will be. What did you guys have....just the gel or did you get as far as the drip. Its the drip that is worrying me.

I had my waters broken as a first step...and that was enough. About 10 minutes after they were broken, labour was WELL established.

Also I had a drip later for Pethidine and I was dehydrated. I didn't even notice it going in, and I am the BIGGEST needle wuss ever. Bloody hurt coming out though. Believe me, when you are in labour, you get jabbed and poked and prodded and you don't really notice that much, just concentrating on bubba.

thanks Lizzle. I'm having the gel as a first step then i think the waters are broken, then the drip is used. I dont know how effective the stretch and sweep was...all it did was give me period like cramps and I lost the mucus plug....there's still time though.

thanks guys.
I am nearly 42 weeks so i think its time. I know what you mean...it is all so uncomfortable by this stage. I can't remember what a normal sleep is like....oh to sleep on your stomach. but I guess normal sleep is out of the question for a number of years...
