I saw my midwife this morning and she did all the midwify tests lol but she had a listen to the heartbeat and it was good and strong at 160bpm Also the cool thing is that when she was listening the baby kicked the wand lol and was very active and moving around lots and kicking lots lol

Oh im so clucky haha

aww Jezika that's awesome! I have my 2nd midwife visit next Thursday and she will try to listen for the heart beat. When I had my scan last week my baby was kicking around all over the place - make me wonder what it will be like when I can feel it!
My mum used to think I was trying to dislodge her ribcage! lol

Ah I remember the stupid grin that used to spread across my face whenever I heard the heartbeat.
I'm not usually too soppy but it's just something about hearing that noise!

Jake used to kick the machine. Now, when my midwife is listening, he supervises and "helps". It makes me laugh. the heartbeat thing is pretty cool though.

xander was very "helpful" too when Lynley visited.he palpated my bump,listened with the stethescope and the trumpet too.very cute i thought.

Toni - I'm surprised you weren't able to hear the heartbeat when you went for your nuchal fold thickness scan? The sonographer just flipped a switch for us and there it was on the monitor, and LOUD as on the speakers !! I got that same goofy grin on my face too
