My baby (very long)

   My wee baby Jack Keith was born on Saturday January 14th a day early. I had been having a few cramps on Thursday night but they were pretty irregular. On Friday around 10am they started to get regular about every 10 minutes so i went to the mall with my dad and sister but was too sore to walk around so i went home and had a nap. My Mum came round at 5 and we rung my midwife but she was off call for the weekend so her backup came round and i was 2-3cm dilated so she said go for a walk and ring her when they get worse. Me and mum went for a walk round the outside of the mall cos it was closed by then. At about 12 mum and Ben went to bed to get some rest and i tried to sleep but couldn't so i got in the bath and read a book.

At 5am i got out of the bath and was in a lot more pain but still bearable with contractions 5 min apart lasting 45secs i still didn't think i was in actual labour but mum rung the midwife and she came round and i was 8 cm so we went to the hospital. 

i spewed in the carpark and got wheeled into the birthing unit and got straight inot the birthing pool. At about 10am i got out of the pool and was 9cm. i was in so much pain and so my midwife got the gas out and that let me sleep between contractions but did nothing for the pain. After 2 hours i was still 9cm but wanting to push  but i wasn't allowed to so i stopped the gas to be in more control and got back in the pool.

 Finally i was allowed to push and after 45mins of pushing Jack was born at 2:13pm with heaps of black hair. Ben cut the cord and had a cuddle i was finishing things off. He weighed 3290grams and i had 5 stitches. 

I have no idea how to get the photos of the digital camera onto the comp but if i figure it out i will post pictures.
