Topic: For goodness sake!!!! GRRR! Posted: 17 December 2007 at 9:47pm |
It's 9.45 on a Monday night and I am being blasted by a neighbour having a party with the music up really loud!!! I have rung Noise control but have to wait another 30 minutes before they will do something!
It has already woken up Sam, and is driving me nuts. I tried to go and ask them to turn it down and got a mouthful of abuse from some drunken lout outside peeing on the neighbours rubbish bin.
The worst thing is that you expect this behaviour from teenagers, but these guys are in their 40's!!!
GRRRRR!! Vent over now - thanks for listening!!!

sweetheart, I hope you managed to get the w***ers to turn their noise down not long after you posted on here and I really hope your cat came home.
One of my major pethates is noisy inconsiderate neighbours.
Our neighbours let us know when they are having a party which is all I ask for, not hard is it.
Anyway, I def agree with the lawnmower thing, or some of Sams music really loud, barny is a good one to p** people off....or it is the festive season, some chipmonk christmas songs should do the trick too

Good news: The cat came back of his own accord. Little bugger!! Wanders in the door at 11.30 like nothings happened. This probably would be normal for most cats, but ours don't actually go outside, so hence my worry!
Party stopped at about 11.30pm. Noise control never turned up, and I had to go out and hose down the driveway this morning to get rid of the vomit
Bad news: My pram and baby bag was stolen this morning!!!! I had it all set up behind the car and was getting Sam out of the carseat. When I turned around to put her in it, it was gone What is wrong with people!!! I drove around the car park and no sign of it, so someone must have grabbed it!!!
So we are now out a pram, gorgeous new Oi Oi nappy bag, and 6 Fuzzies, plus the couple of spare outfits etc etc!!! oh and to make things worse (as if I could) my wedding & engagement rings and DH's wedding ring was in the bag ready to be dropped into the jewelers for repairs/cleaning!!! Now I have to ring around and cancel all my cards, organise new cards and go and file a police report! Arghh!
Merry Christmas to me

OMG Sam, that is so awful about your pram and bag. I can't believe anyone would do such a thing. Big, big hugs.

How awful, not the hassle that you need around xmas time. Can someone look after Samantha while you run round and do all the aggravating stuff?
Yay for the cat coming back.

Thanks guys I have had some of my faith in people restored as I got a phone call a little while ago from a nice old gentleman who found my wallet. No money or vouchers of course but looks like the other stuff is still in there. Hopefully this means I don't have to go through the hassle of getting a new d/licence atleast

I know. Me neither! I seriously thought at first that it must have rolled away! It never crossed my mind that it may have been stolen!
They must have been seriously quick though, I can't have had my back turned for more than a minute or so!
