is it normal to still have stitches after 4 weeks.

least it still feels like there are stitches there...still very tender down there.

I felt my stiches for about 8 weeks I think.. I felt them tightening and healing. Felt them when I sat a certain way too

Mine were gone by then, but have heard of other people's still being there. Get you midwife to have a look next time u see her. If u have had lots of stitches, my advise would be dont look yourself. I did,...and I still wish I hadnt

Mine are internal so they could be differant to yours if yours werent so I could be wrong

Umm..can't remember how long I had my stitches in for, by I do remember that my Midwife checked on them during one of her visits. From memory I think I was still feeling tender after 4 weeks. Do you have an appointment at the hospital? I got booked in for an appointment for 6 weeks after I gave birth to double check everything was OK down there.

yep. I was still very tender and scratchy down there for at least 8 weeks. Still feels funny now if I sit funny and stretch it.
