Do the names you have given your children mean anything or are they random names that you both decided on??
Andrew John: Andrew as that is the only name we could agree on, John is my dad's middle name. There are a few people that think we named him after Andrew Johns on of the greatest league players.
Joshua Gareth: Joshua was the only name that we had agreed on that he suited, Gareth is one of DH's middle names.

all our kids names are just ones we liked and agreed on. i would've liked to use a family name, but murray, david, andrew (no offence) tui, raymond, gilbert, harold, beryl, lorna, joesphine, irene are just not what i'd like to call my offspring!
i wanted to use zoey which is my nana's name, but i promised my sister i would only use it as a second name. then, we couldn't come up with a name to go with it...charli zoey just didn't sound right, so out it went

I have 2 stories to how we got Blair's name, the untrue but funny story goes....DH and I were discussing names early on and he said what about George, and I said no I like BLEEEEEAAAAAAH (making retching sounds). In all honesty it was one of those names that about 3 weeks before EDD he said what about Blair, and I commented that I had thought about the name a couple of day's earlier too.
Samuel is a name that I've always said that if I were to have children and a boy and was going to bring a family name thru, then that's the name I wanted to use - and I like it. My grandfather and greatgrandfather had Samuel as a middle name, and as it turns out DH had a grandparent/greatgrandparent with the name as well. He wasn't sold on it as a first name, but cos I really wanted to use it he was happy to use it as a middle name
The Nathan came about as one DH really like but I wasn't totally sold on it, but realised we couldn't give our wee man the initials BS!

Conor Alexander - Conor is from the movie Highlander, Alexander is my grandfathers middle name. My grandmother died 5mths before he was born. I wanted to honour her somehow. I was a Whangai baby, so she raised me for four years...and I didn't think Pearl would suit a boy!
Nyah Zoe - Nyah is from Mission Impossible 2 (Thandie Newtons Character). Zoe was our back up name and DH's fave.
Cooper Wade - I'm a huge league fan (hanging out for March 14th!) Cooper Cronk plays for Melbourne Storm and Wade McKinnon plays for the Warriors. I liked Cooper alot and DH liked Wade.
Phew.

Rico Mikaere Kiriwai: Rico my DH got from Puerto "Rico", & I loved it straight away. Mikaere is maori for Michael which is dh's first name even though he's called by his first middle name (he has 2) and Kiriwai is Dh's 2nd middle name, which is also a family name. Did you get all that?
Gia Nadia: Gia is Italian & Dh & I were watching an old italian movie before I was even pregnant with Rico & there was a Gia Campbell on it, Dh always said when we had a girl that was her name. Nadia is my middle name.
Jett Te Akau Ryan: Once again Dh came up with Jett, I had heard it before & liked it, but then came to love it the more I thought of it. Te Akau, Dh wanted another maori middle name if we had a boy & got some suggestions from his step-father (whose also Maori), that was the one i liked most, and Ryan is my brother's name.

Alan William - DH chose this and I found out the day he was born We wanted to keep it a secrect and I sux at keeping secrect's. Alan is my MIL's father's name. And william is my FIL Middle name.
Michael Joab - well I really liked Micah, but DH did not so we went for Michael which jsut happened to be FIL first name. We both really wanted Joab as a first name, but BIL would not let us it is his first mane so we decided to use it as a middle name he protested being only 19 at the time now I think he is quietly chuffed.
and for our girl's name(if this is a girl.)
Will be Elizabeth Karen
Elizabeth being after out M/W oh and I jsut love it and Karen being MIL middle name.
and if baby is a boy we are looking at either Andrew John Henry After my brother or Henry John after my dad I really love the name Andrew, but we know so many our age and we both like something a little old fasioned. Hence the Alan.

Mike chose Seb's name.
Sebastian was the main character in one of our favourite fantasy novels. He was a (good) half-incubus, half-wizard. Go figure.
Daemon was the name another character in a different series by the same author went by, and if I tried to explain it it'd probably just look bad Satan (his father) in the series was more of a guardian over (all) dead souls than any christian example. We went with Dae'mon so people wouldn't pronounce it Demon. (It's "Day-mon"
My favourite names for the next bubba we have are so far:
Griffin Alexander - Griffin is just an old-fashioned name we like, and Alexander is the name of an old friend, plus I love it.
Ella/Eleanor Evelyn Joy - Haven't decided whether to use Ella as name or Nickname, but basically we just like it. Evelyn Joy is MIL's middle names which she gets from her mother. Mike is her favourite grandchild.

Arabella -
I liked Aroha and Bella and couldn't decide and then found Arabella which I thought was a nice compromise and sounded nice and feminine. Means moved by prayer or beautiful alter.
Grace - Was my sisters middle name (she died just over a year ago) and I wanted to pass that on and honor her

Well where to start? LOL When DF and I first met we were discussing names in passing and he piped up that he loved the name Keziah and instantly I fell in love with it.. I didn't care what it meant, my first born girl was going to be Keziah whether he liked it or not..Turned out he did. HA, it means "A Sweet Spice" and that she is
(She's actually named after someone from a Mythos game, but if you want to know more just ask
Leiandra is a name a lady on another forum used for her baby born earlier last year and I thought it fit perfectly with Keziah (well I think so anyways).. So I played with the spelling and added an "I" to it and that's what I came up with.. I'm not exactly sure what it means, but it's very pretty don't you think?

Oliver John Mclaughlin: Oliver is a name I just loved the sound of plus the meaning is 'symbol of peace' - I guess I was hoping that the meaning would have influence on his temperament! John is FIL middle name. John McLaughlin is first and middle name of DH granddad.
Lilia Eva Anne: (So long as this bubba is a girl) Lilia is a play on my mums name Riria as well as Lily which is a name I like. Eva is DH's great nana's middle name and Anne is my BF and MIL middle names.
ETA: Neeks - I work with a lady who named her daughter Leandra (born April-ish 07) From memory I think she got the name from a (story) book ...

I chose the name Megan as it wasnt a popular name but still nice and simple. I didnt want an out there type name. and I picked Grace as the middle name after my nana , who is 91.
funny thing is I couldnt even think of a boys name.
