Topic: Briahna met her granny!! Posted: 31 January 2008 at 12:46am |
She was lovely. She basically said that she lost her temper with it all and that it has been a really bad couple of years for her and she hasnt felt herself.
She LOVED Briahna and took heaps of pics with her and with Briahna and her new aunty!! (shes 7 lol shes cute).
She even gave her a present, a charm bracelet! Its so pretty and its something i would never think of getting for her!
I got there at about 10:30am and left at like 4! lol. We had such a good talk aye, and when i first got there she thanked me for doing this and nearly cried. I didnt know what to do it was weird cause i never thought that she could feel that way.
We talked about Alex and mine and his relationship. It was really good to talk about it all!! She said she has tried to ask him about us before but he just doesnt want to talk about it and the walls go up. He was apparently really depressed last year which first i thought GOOD. But then i thought hold on, how DARE he be depressed!! He made the choice of dumping me and his daughter! He has no right to be depressed after what he put us through and what he is going to put his daughter through!! Grr!
But yeah she said she cant make him do anything and shes going to let him make the choice. She said things could change but im not counting on it!!
Im just happy it was a good day

That's awesome.
And seriously, you never know what will happen with Alex. Sounds like he has quite a lot of growing up to do (whatever his age!!) and maybe then he'll be able to put in the effort with Briahna - unfortunately that won't be easy for you and I guess when the time comes you have to make those sorts of decisions, but don't give up hope completely!

Thats awesome. Sounds like you have done all you can and have been super mature about it all, you should be proud of yourself! Now your wee girl will at least have another granny to spoil her!
