Sorry slightly TMI but thats what this place is for right?!

Started Tuesday night, woke up twice very damp down below. Not enough to actually have a damp bed, but gross all the same. And since then most times I stand up if I've been sitting down for a little while I can feel more 'leakage'

Its probably just increased discharge aye? I vaguely remember my doc saying last time that near the end discharge increases and thins, but I dont think it was like this. And last time labour started with my waters breaking with a big gush. ITs definitely not urine either.

Am not at all concerned about it, just curious cos its gross. Wish it meant I was going to have her soon tho

Oooooh I soooo want it to be waters for you! Sounds promising! Maybe you should check with your midwife tho coz of the whole infection thing if they have broken.

TMI but waters smell a bit like spunk. I had a tear in my membranes at 35 weeks, leaked for 12 hours then water broke properly and then I leaked for another 3 weeks until the baby came out. Not a huge amount just enough to have to use pantyliners. Leaks would mostly happen when I changed position or when bubs was active. They can do a swab to check and if it is that they will want to give you IV antibiotics during labour because it has been more than 48 hours so there is an increased risk of infection.

Sounds suspiciously like waters...just when you mention the part where if you stand up from sitting for a while it kind of leaks out. That's how mine went anyway.. Pays to check though huh :)

Yeah I'd check and make sure, It could be your waters leaking, they don't always break with a gush. The fact that as you say, when you've been sitting then stand up and get it i'd say you definatley need to just make sure. Give her a ring. Come on, you know that's what you want to do, DO IT DO IT DO IT. lolol

Well I have her little prezzie ready so she can be born now!  Yes, I know she was waiting for it.

But seriously, I hear midwifes can just test it really quickly to see if it's waters or anything else.  Could be worth it?

Just a quick update. Rang midwife first thing this morning cos the discharge was pink. She said it sounds like waters leaking so I need to go down for a check at 9am. Nothing much else happening tho, a bit crampy but nothing definite. Will let you know whats happening after my appt.

Starting to feel rather nervous now...
