Does anyone else have trouble motivating themselves to exercise? Before I got pregnant I use to run 3kms a day and now I can only just find the energy to walk down the street to the shop. I want to start running again but not to sure on how I should start. Any ideas?

Going with someone else, or even a couple of someone elses, always seemed to make it more do-able for me. When I was just starting out though, I would run-walk... I think I used lampposts as my measure, would walk two, run one, walk two, run one etc. Eventually you change that so that you're running more than you're walking, and then running without any walking at all. Again it was going with a partner, friend or group that made it easier for me when I got to the fully fledged running stage - I hate doing it by myself... get too bored even with my iPod going. I don't know how I'll go once bubs has arrived, will cross that bridge when I come to it

I think the best motivator is to have someone who you can walk/exercise with. I am totally lacking in motivation but when someone says they want to come too I am happy to get up and go as well. Perhaps even grabbing a walkman or something which will give you something to focus on when out exercising....
