Elle will be 18mths old on Tuesday! So old!
Anyone else adore this age?
She is really coming into her own. Talking loads and learning new words every day, copying everything we do (uh oh) and flirting with the men (long story!). She loves to dance and sing, is very playful and giggly and best of all.....
...she started giving us kisses tonight!
I think the wheat free diet is really helping.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww gorgeous bubbas!

I don't know, I am *hating* 16 months Messy, grubby, feral gremlins that get into everything and beat each other up... I hope it improves magically at 18 months
Am glad you're enjoying Elle now!

I'm hating this stage (DD is 17 months) so will hold out hope that 18 months brings a complete about turn!

Seb is just on 18 months... he started giving us kisses a couple of months ago - isn't it cute! (though he was giving them to his MIL for months just not us... little traitor) He does this funny little dance where he stomps his feet as fast as he can and wiggles.

Actually a couple of weeks ago she was driving me nuts with getting into everything, asserting her own will etc so maybe 18mths is magical
She still does those irritating things but then she does something so cute it [almost] erases the irritations.
P.S in our case Elle was such an unhappy baby that we love this new, happier phase, despite the toddler difficulties. Having a happy kid is just so awesome.

I agree, this stage is amazing! They're just like proper mini grown ups that know their own minds and aren't too shy about telling you whats what LOL

Yeap....we are in Gloria Jeans...kids are bored, grumpy and trying to run away. A good looking young man comes and sits down in the cafe. Elle stands in front of him, dances, smiles, chats etc for a good 5 mins if not longer. She was totally fixated!
She loooooooooves the men! Will only stay in creche on Sundays if there is a Dad to play with...doesn't like the ladies!

He he... now there's a girl who knows what she wants!
Yay, yay, YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, Fiona - horray for Elle suddenly blossoming into a lovely, sweet phase! You've worked so hard to get here and you fully deserve to enjoy every little kiss and cuddle and cute moment! I hope the happiness lasts - sure makes the hard work of motherhood that much more rewarding, eh. Big up's to your wee Elle!

No Kelpa, nothing as obvious as that. 4 people in DHs family have intolerance to gluten / wheat. They showed as negative on tests but none had the bowel biopsy as they knew they felt so much better without wheat. Since cutting wheat out their lives have transformed..no more irritability, headaches, bowel problems etc.
When we saw the cranial osteopath, he said her vili (sp) were showing signs of stress and that would be caused by wheat. I dismissed it at the time but after talking with my GP about her unexplained iron deficiency (so low it barely registered), constipation (started at 4mths before she even started solids) etc she felt it was worth a wheat free trial.
I think it is helping but I won't really know until we do the wheat test in another 2 weeks or so.

I live in hope that 18 months is magical 'cos 17 months sucks! At the mall for just over an hour and she ended up in time out outside of whitchoulls and threw about 5 tantrums...most of them at the Coffee Club becuase she had a mouth overflowing with food and we wouldn't let her stuff more in!
She is really into "drawing" now though and that is just gorgeous!!
