Someone I know asked me what were the best things I got for myself (clothing wise) when I was preggers with Daniel. I thought this kind of thing might be helpful for others so thought I'd pop it on here for anyone who might find it helpful because maternity wear is soooo expensive.

My best buys were:
Those singlets from jayjays that have those lacy bits across your chest and around the bottom. They were really stretchy and cheap and lasted me right throughout.

Yoga pants from Ezibuy - these ones had fold down top just like maternity pants and were so comfy for around home.

Casual skirts from glassons. The crinkly ones they have every spring/summer. They also have a stretchy waist band that folds down.

I have all those things Stacey and I agree, they are the best! I live in my Jay Jays singlets with the lace I have 4 of them! and I have 2 of the glassons skirts with the fold down top and i have some fold down tack pants aswell.

I also love my Pumpkin Patch tops, they are nice and stretchy and have heaps of room for growth.

I lived in Shanton pants - these black ones that just have an elastic waist. I put the waistline underneath my bump as it got bigger, they are sooo comfy yet still feel reasonably dressy. And best thing they fit real well after too - in fact I'm wearing a pair right now (I got 3 of them!)

Def Egg 3/4 stretchy jeans. They were the most comfy jeans I've ever worn. I was so sad to give them up when Andy was born. I borrowed the pair I wore so I'm definately going to buy my own this time! Can't wait to wear them!!

I also lived in a two pairs of maternity pj pants from Farmers. They were black so no one could tell they were PJS. they were so lovely. I wore them so much the bottoms became see though!

My black merino pants from MobeaNZ (maternity wear). They are the best pants I have ever bought. I lounge around the house in them and I dress them up with a nice top to wear out too. Godsend!

Black stretchy yoga pants from the Warehouse. They a fold down waist band, so perfect for an ever expanding belly. (I'm wearing some now - I have 2 pairs)
Pink maternity top with a tie that goes to the back from the front and sits just above your bump so makes it look quite flattering
Black maternity top in sheer fabric, so nice and light for when your feeling a little on the hot side.

(both the tops were easily dressed up..)

Oh and those cheap as slide shoes from Number One Shoes.. the ones with the mesh on the front & some sequins!! Perfect for those FAT FEET days when nothing else will fit
