Right..I'm 5 weeks past having a c-section..(emergency)...

TMI by the way.. I have had little of no lochia for about a week or two..just a little bit here and there.. after it disappeared week 2 and then came back....last night about 9pm i wiped and had bright red blood..not enough to show up on pants but enough to show clearly on paper...then just now toilet again and more bright red blood.. is this normal? I haven't had sex yet so it couldn't be caused by that...mw is coming either today or tomorrow to sign me off so i will ask her but wanted to know if it's normal?:(

My MW told me that if there was a little bright blood then it probably meant that i was doing to much and to try and rest/sit down more.

I would just mention it to your MW and see what they say.

My sister was the same with all 3 of her boys. Exclusively BFing but period returned 1 month after each boy was born.

my m/w told me it was quite common to have a break from the lochia and then start some more bleeding around the 5/6 week mark. Its got something to do with the uterus tipped back into place.
