Some of you may have already read elsewhere that I am becoming a Fuzzi Bunz nappies agent (just need to sign the contract and buy my kit!!). Anyway I need some ideas on ways to promote myself and the products. Have quite a few ideas already, but any others most appreciated, especially since you are all the target market (although I am not in any way trying to promote myself on here !). Anyway, this is what I have so far:
* Adverts in Bush Telegraph and Dannevirke News
* Article in Bush Telegraph (free paper to every house in Tararua district)
* Flyers (kindys, daycares, Plunket??, supermarket, library, doctors, hospital)
* Word of mouth (family and friends)
* Market day stall
* Demo to groups (antenatal, coffee groups, Plunket groups)
* Approach the council about buying heaps and giving one to every new mum (helping reduce landfill waste etc)

Any ideas appreciated, thanks ladies.

Love the idea about approaching the council - that way you could get Plunket or the hospital distributing them.

How about Trade Me? Or is that not allowed?

Trade Me is not allowed. Basically there are agents in many areas around the country so I am just selling in my general area (which is actually quite big). Although I could order them for friends from other areas as well, the idea of being an agent is so that people can see the product first. Then I get the commission from those sales. And I cant take the credit for the council idea Another agent has managed to do that (maybe Kaikoura??).

Wow council idea sounds reaaaally cool.

The whole coffee group thing is great... as well as just getting Hannah seen wearing her fuzzis. (so winter isn't ideal!)

I get heaps of comments whenever Hannah has her nappies showing and most people are generally really impressed.

Great idea to link in with the antenatal courses - get some of those pregnant ladies educated on modern washables. Everyone just seems to freak at the idea of old fashioned cloth (I know I did) but as soon as I saw fuzzis I was so impressed!

Perhaps you could get some midwives in on the deal so they can plug fuzzis to their new mums???

I don't use them myself however there are 4 or 5 out of 12 in my coffee group who do and swear by them.

Perhaps you could get a little advertisement in the local school newsletter's often they are cheap and no doubt many expectant mums who already have kids at school.

Any local market's or fairs you could get a stall and display them and take orders.

Always keep some brochures on you to hand out when ever an opportunity arises. If you are a little bit cheeky hand them out to mums you see in coffee shops or casually lurk around the baby section when doing your shopping just in case you can spark up a converstaion with mums.

Good luck

our council had a "night" with the greenies with all kinds of MCN so people could come and have a look at all the different options, and had a boring person talk boringly for ages (my poor pregnant numb bum) aobut landfills toxic gasses etc.. anyhow, the night was good. All the mums that went are using MCN's in one way or another (as far as I still know?) The fuzzis agent for blenners was there, so maybe you could suggest a night like that?

how about advertising in your local parents centre newsletter. Huge target audience. I dont know which is the closest to you, but you could phone the palmy one 06 3584289. And they might be able to help you.
