Topic: first movements Posted: 13 March 2006 at 10:59am |
I have received the ohbaby week 15 update thing, telling me how baby is growing, etc and it says i might feel bubs first movements now. I havnt yet. I thought I had felt something a few weeks ago but it stopped so I guess it wasnt. I have asked this before I think but cant remember (pregnancy thing I guess, lol ) When did you ladies feel first movements, what did it feel like, and what time of the day??

I was about 17 weeks when I first felt Maya move, it was lunchtime and I was sitting on the grass at Mission Bay having lunch with a friend. It just felt like butterflies, but I was very sure that it was baby, and then that evening I had some more similar feelings.
15 weeks is early to feel a first baby move, they usually say between 16-20 weeks.

movements for me were random times of day.... and around 14 or 15 weeks. little bubbles really is all you really feel at the moment, but some people dont feel them until around 20 weeks bear that in mind.
the movments arent regular, going for days without noticing any, but yesterday for me, they started up again, and are a bit more noticeable. you will feel them soon!!! yay!!! but like i say, they can go unnoticed, as they arent huge or anything (more cute!)
did that make sense??? lol.

At 15 weeks I felt the "butterflies" about half way down from my belly button. That went on for a few days, then nothing at all until 18 weeks where I got the odd movement which felt like a "flick" feeling, certainly not regular though. Now bubs has been really going for it for the past week (We're convinced it will be an All Black kicker! lol) and on saturday morning we even saw my tummy move where the baby was kicking

I felt Zaara at 13 weeks, it was like butterflies in my tummy and I felt it stronger at night. I thought it was some thing else because 13 weeks was too early to feel the baby.....but my midwife says some time people feel their babies really early (may be because the baby is really active and is in frontal position) and some people feel them really late.....dont worry you will feel the bub soon enough!!!
