Topic: The best thing.... Posted: 24 March 2008 at 6:29pm |
I also posted this topic in the First baby section as well. Decided to do this so that we can remind ourselves why we had our kiddies! Also something to look back on when we are having an off day!
What is the best thing about having children?? And what is the funniest thing they have done??

Looking at them when they are sleeping, all peaceful and innocent and perfect. I still watch Maya sleep and she's five.
The funniest thing they've ever done? They are all so cute it's hard to choose! But the gremlins are super cute the way they talk to each other and tell each other off, and I have a gorgeous pic of Maya "breastfeeding" her doll when I was in hospital having them.

I love watching my little man when he is just doing his own thing, then when he turns round and sees me watching he runs over with his lips puckered for a big kiss for mummy
And watching him sleeping.
I love everything about being a mummy!!

I miss the stage when Seb would do something he knew was naughty, look around to see if we were looking, then when he saw us watching him quickly try to hide whatever it was behind his back, or shove it back into place looking extremely guilty. It was so cute!
Funny thing he did while walking uptown the other week was reaching out to hold the hand of maybe every 3rd person who walked past. He was a bit upset when no one wanted to!

Definitely the sleeping!!
I was sneakily watching Hannah today with one of her babies. Talking to her just like I do with Greer and picking her up so gently, then feeding and burping her - was gorgeous. And just when I needed a warm fuzzy moment too

Have to agree with the sleeping!!!
She's into a funny thing at the moment, whenever you do something to make her laugh - after she's finished laughing she goes "no mummeeeee" that cracks us up and the giggles start all over again

I love it when they all play together, totally of their own accord, and look out for each other e.g. sharing. Makes me feel like they have learned something about being kind after all!

Tickling my baby and listening to her laugh uncontrollably. Its the sweetest sound ever! Or listening to her sing twinkle twinkle little star not realising I am listening.
Oh, and an arm being thrown over my neck in mid sleep or her waking slightly and going "cuddle Mummy". Sooooo cute!

I love the proper cuddles where they really wrap their little arms around your neck and squeeze back.
When Sam falls asleep in my arms :)
Belly laughs
How she smells straight out of the bath
There is so much I don't even know where to start - I just love being a Mommy so much
