Topic: Far TMI - AF probs Posted: 25 March 2008 at 8:38am |
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but hopefully someone here will have some idea.
Ok, I've had a mixed bag over the last 6-7 months. Had a mc in October, then went on the injection. Had one injection and then when that ran out, changed to a mini pill (Cerazette). I have just started my first AF since my mc, and I have no idea what is going on. I woke up in tears yesterday because of the pain and today isn't much better. I soaked through a pad in an hour yesterday morning, then had stuff all bleeding for the rest of the day. This morning the pain is back again, I'm lying in bed with a wheatpack and Nurofen by my side (which does stuff all) and the bleeding has started back up again. ALL the bleeding has been old blood (rather old I would say - dark brown, almost black, tar like substance). Is this normal in any way shape or form??????? Any help would be much appreciated!!!!!!

I'm a little reluctant to go the codeine path, simply because it makes me loopy. I guess I'll be ringing to make an appointment with the doc then, I've been having horrid dreams that my endo has got a lot worse, mainly because of the pain I've been having for the last month or so...maybe it was a warning

Yep, last July when I had my lap. The pains I'm having now are worse than I had before my lap though. And being on the pill is supposed to be stopping it getting worse!!! I'm not sure how my doctor will be - he is a new guy that I haven't seen re. my endo/other probs before, because I was up in the Waikato when everything happened, and am not back in the Naki. It just bites.

I went, and was basically told there's nothing they can do except give me codeine for the pain, and keep an eye and if I keep flooding, then come back. Lot of help, but hey!! I don't want to go on codeine at the moment, because I literally go loopy and see stars, and I still want to be able to function.
I'd love to not be on anything Jess!! But we're not quite ready yet for any mini-mes....at the end of the year maybe!!

NeoshasMummy - I don't think it's effects of the Cerazette to be honest, the last year I've had has been seriously mixed up for my body, plus having been on the Depo (the jab) for 1 jab (came off the jab onto Cerazette) doesn't help either. It seems to have settled down now, however there has been NO new blood at all during the entire time, it has ALL been old blood. Not even any remote sign of new blood. That worries me a little.
