Topic: Just had my scan Posted: 11 April 2008 at 1:31pm |
I just came back from my scan...and to my dissapointment, I am only 5 weeks (when I thought I was 7)...so no baby yet and no heart beat!!!
And he told me I have a cyst??? but its common and will go away when I am further in my pregnancy!!??
Has any one ever heard of this??

Aww that's disappointing that you have to wait some more, at least you get another scan soon though!
I had a cyst with both my pregnancies, they are quite common and didn't cause any problems for me or the babies.

That sucks that you aren't as far along as you thought, but at least you get another scan soon.

I had a cyst too, this time round. Very common, apparently, and they deflate and disappear on their own.
Congratulations on the pregnancy, Roksana!

Yup, I had cysts with the last 3, they're called corpeous luteal cysts and they apparently help support the pregnancy until the placenta takes over. Or so I was told.
Bugger about being put back two weeks!

I haven't had a cyst but have heard they are very common. I had a scan when I thought I was 7 weeks and there was no sac, heartbeat or anything so was told I must have been only about 5 weeks. But I knew my dates. I went for another scan about 2 weeks later and there was bub on the screen and I later found out I was as far along as I thought.
