Little angel - or is that toad - is so unsettled. and not just tonight too. seems to be after her third feed of the day she wont go down for a sleep and just cries unless she is being rocked...
she also had a smaller sleep after her lunch time feed today too ...

grrrrr - driving me nuts!!!!!

I had a non sleeper this afternoon too. It's quite frustrating when you're expecting them to settle easily and they don't. How old is your daughter?

Bizzy i had kinda the same problem like you..is b/f or F/F?
How do u rock her? My 5 1/2 month girl, shes ok now but i used to have problems with her getting her to sleep...most of the times she wouldnt go to sleep till very late at night but now she goes down at 7 or 7.30pm ish...I also rock her up and down to sleep..OK this is just my way but i find she goes to sleep well with a bottle..Il keep an eye on her, normally it will just fall out her mouth beside her when shes drifted off and thats when il take it away from her...and if she happens to stir/awake for more whenever il give her, her bottle for abit until she falls back to sleep....Have u also tried singing to her? in a soft voice..Or even gently bring your finger or fingers over her eyes till she nods off...that can be soothing too.Sometimes my little girl likes it and sometimes she doesnt..she tries pushing my finger away...really depends on her i think...combine the rocking and sleeping together then put her down when shes fully asleep...Or even before before she goes to sleep, give her a bath...that may help too...Naomi, my little one, falls asleep after her bath most of time, we rock her and she nods off...

Hope thats of any help?

Sleep baby girl, sleep! Sleep is good.

Bizzy i started off fully b/f but when it came to the stage where Naomi had only put on 20grams that the PN pointed out we had to go onto Formula...soooo much easier....
Sounds like your having a rough nite there Bizzy...She'll come right over time...Believe me - they do...Its all just a waiting thing..

I was going to suggest that it could just be a phase, the dread two month growth spurt?

Ideally you want her to carry on along the same lines as she has been.

So my only suggestion is to wrap her up tightly, feed her as normal and keep telling yourself that you'll get your sleepy baby back.

I don't see the point of changing things, because that would just confuse her.

How good of a singer are you?

i was going to ask if she was 5-6wks old! i know of alot of babies that do similar things at this age.....not helpful at all i know, but it will pass

one thing my m/w suggested with charli was to put her over our knee, tummy down, and gently rock her until she was in a deep sleep. then put her in bed. this lasted a week (from 6wks) and she then settled herself again

hang in there deb

ahh mel my singing sucks, well according to the boys anyway...

compared to gabriel she is still a breeze. he used to scream almost constantly from 6-10pm every night for months...

i'm hoping its a phase cause otherwise how am i ever going to be able to go out at night again!!!

little monkey is lying in daddy's arms now... maybe i'll shove a tit in her mouth!!!

Yeah we still haven't had ice cream since you had her!

I remember Cooper going haywire around her age too.

Oh yeah the tummy on the lap thing is great, Cooper still loves that.

hahahah

My sister bought these silicon breasts a while ago...They feel yucky and horrible..But i had to laugh when i saw what she had bought...
Bizzy im not trying to tell u whats best here but perhaps u could half BF and half FF her...That way if and when u want to go out at night daddy can have some father and daughter time with her feeding her....When i was fully b/f Naomi think my partner got a tad jealous cos he couldnt feed her as i had all the goods lol..Then we started FF her it really took a load of me too....Cos FF isnt such a big hassle as B/F is when your out

Oh yeah and I just remembered, Char did this for ages, and I ended up wearing her in the front pack for about 2 months every day from about 3pmish, stopped the howling/grizzling and she slept in it, not a flash habit to form, but it was easy enough to break, AND it meant I got other things done as well.

Baby Bizzy, you be good for your mummy and GO TO SLEEP CHILD!!

Hopefully it's just the dreaded 2 month growth spurt Deb.. Keziah used to do this too and we went for weeks and weeks with her not having a day time nap, and being really grizzly all the time.. but we came out the other side and that's the main thing! Keep persevering it's the only thing you can do really
