Topic: PAIN!! Posted: 29 March 2006 at 12:30pm |
Hey Ladies. Last night I stretched I think or moved and got that sharp pinching pain that you get when you get up out of seat quickly sometimes and hasnt stopped.
Everytime i moved it would hurt. Its under belly button and to the right side. It seems to be ok when Im sitting but when Im walking or move around I get it. Its like a stabbing sharp pain. Thought it might be constipation but have had constipation pain before and its not like this. While I am sitting here it is burning.
Worried about ringing midwife cos I only rang her the other day for another reason... Anyone else had this and what was the outcome? Is it normal.

yeh call your midwife if ur really concerned but otherwise i got told by my midwife to use a heat pack on it not to hot but it increases blood flow to muscles and tendons which helps them heal

I don't know if this is at all similar, but I had a killer sore muscle, just one little patch on the left side of my tummy just above my belly button. I'm pretty sure it was just stretched to hell but by god did it kill me.
Actually it is still sore now if I poke it enough. Mind you, anything will hurt if you poke it enough. Ah well...
But talk to your m/wife. She might recommend something to deal with it

i get these pains a lot when i move too suddenly or get up the wrong way. i read that its better to roll onto your side from sitting or lying down and get up using your hands to avoid putting extra stress on muscles that are already stretching to accomodate growing babies. i guess none of that info helps muscles already pulled, sorry! hope it feels better soon, and ring your midwife if its really hurting you!

thnx ladies. I rang my midwife and she seems to think it is normal.
When I inhale and breathe out thats when it also hurts.
Midwife told me to use a heat pack too. She also said it will last about three days ongoing.

Hi
I get sharp pains when I move suddenly, usually around my groin area, and the side of my stomach. It often wakes me up if I roll over in my sleep. I think its muscluar. I read somewhere that you muscles soften when you are pregnant so your more prone to pulling them. Im not too worried cause its short and sharp and doesnt tend to hang around.
