Topic: Swollen Fingers Posted: 05 April 2006 at 9:53am |
Early this morning I just had to take off my engagement ring and one of my other rings because they felt so uncomfortable!! My fingers feel a little bit swollen and strange when I clench them into fists.
I'm 22 weeks, and midwifes appointment last week showed no high blood pressure or protein in my urine or anything so I'm not too worried about it being a problem.
Just wondering if anyone else is getting chubby fingers yet? I know another girl at my work who had her baby recently had to take off her wedding ring but I think it was later in pregnancy than I'm at...

I had to take my engagement ring off from about the same stage as you with Josiah, and my wedding band came off from about 30 weeks. I have really small fingers (the size of my wedding band is H 1/2) so my ring is quite narrow, meaning I could get away with wearing it a little longer than any of my other rings.

Yes I got CHUBBY fingers. Mainly in the mornings and sometimes during the day when it is warm. I very rarely see them looking normal, hehehe. My blood pressure is fine.

i took my engagement ring off because I'd heard of that happening, however, mine actually SHRUNK! So now if I wear my ring and fling my arms about, my ring flies off. I have to get it sized.

Hi
I just decided this morning that my wedding ring was too tight. Ive been taking it off at night and usually there is a red mark where its been. I took my engagement ring off about a month ago. I cant wait to put them back on again, I hope my hands shrink back to normal after Ive had the baby!

Yap I had to take off mine and wear it around my neck. it was not that it was uncomfortable but I could not take them off or put them on easily.

My engagement ring was always a bit loose to start with, and my wedding band was a perfect fit. I don't know if my fingers have really swelled, but everything still fits fine and I don't reckon they'll have to come off.... would put them on a chain around my neck if they did.
