Topic: Groin and Cervix Pain Posted: 10 May 2008 at 8:06pm |
For the past week Ive been getting really sharp cervix pains, like someone has a knife up there Im guessing this is cos his head is almost fully engaged! But Ive also been getting really sore pains in my groin, its usally when I go to get up or walk somewhere, it almost feels like cramp in my groin, it stops me in my tracks and I have to hobble to a seat or stand still until it passes, would this be things stretching and be to do with his head being almost fully engaged?
Im definitly waddling when I walk now!

Hehe I feel your pain :P I think the groin pain is worse than the stabby cervix pain really - I spent an hour and a half doing groceries cuz every time I lifted a leg I cramped up. Nothing seems to soothe it either. Gotta love the waddle!

Yeah nothiong helps it, tonight Ive tried pacing around, sitting still lying down, but nothing helps. The groin pain and cervix pain together is like really uncomfy Plus the pressure on that "area" ahh not long to go now though lol

Yep that'll be his head banging away down there. I can still remember that pain and it isn't nice. I had it with Josh from 30 weeks .

Oh I still vividly remember THAT pain!! I got it the last few weeks of pregnancy. Not nice at all! I'd be waddling along, and bang! it would hit, stop me in my tracks. I'd have to lean against the nearest wall/door frame and cross my legs and lean over. Some days I'd be scared to walk around in fear I'd get them! Definitely reminds you, that you don't have long to go!! .
YAY!

What, you mean it can get worse than it already is ?! I have the waddle and the ligament pain, but it sounds like theres so much more to look forward to when bubs is engaged.
God, bring on 40 weeks!

I got that too and geez it hurts! There were times it was so intense and sudden I'd actually cry out with the pain.
The groin pain is probably to do with everything loosening up and opening up to make room for him. Joyful!
Hang in there chicky, soon all of this will be a distant memory and you'll be looking back in awe that your body actually carried and nurtured the gorgeous wee man you're holding

It stops me in my tracks when it happens and I have to bend over, that seems to help a little. Makes me cry out in pain aswell The other night I was actually crawling round the floor trying to get rid of the pain or shift him off that particular spot.
It seems to be worse at night time..

Yep I can sympathise with you - I get lots of it. The groin pain is particularly bad at night and makes walking to the loo really difficult. One night it was so bad DP had to help me to the loo as I could hardly walk. And those stabbing pains in the cervix are just horrible.

Oh god, THAT pain really hurts and it makes it seriously difficult to get anything done... I had THAT pain from about 30 weeks which made it very difficult to get from here to there without the aid of a wall or DF

Hugs Sheza, I feel your pain - literally! My wee girl has her head right down poking out the trap door and it's damned uncomfy! I've got my legs crossed to keep her in for a few weeks yet tho as midwife did a check yesterday and says my cervix is looking awfully favourable already and she doesn't think we'll make 40 weeks. I just don't want her out yet!

I remember that pain! Have you tried a deep(not too hot) bath so you can float in it? That helped the groin pain a little at least. Not long to go now!

I tried that and it didnt work - mostly cuz my bath is complete arse.
Sheza I hope you enjoyed waiwera today - I wish I could go to hanmer and have a soak, but with things possibly happening for me, I dont know if its such a good idea!

The pools today were nice, I sat on the step in the really hot pool so that just my legs and bum were in the water so that was nice for that area lol
I got the cervix and groin pain driving home though, I had to lift myself off my seat at times, lucky I wasnt driving!
I havent tried a bath yet, might do that though.

Ooo (not so) fond memories! I remember the instant that Jack engaged fully as I was stuck in one place for about 30 minutes just waiting to be able to move again! Mmm hot pools sound so nice...

I remember it happening from about 34 wks on with my first. This time its started last week (24 wks). Incredibly painful and uncomfortable especially at night. More pillows! I found that hot pools or a bath didnt help me - I kept floating and that put pressure on my stomach muscles - made them tighten. I totally sympathise with you. Still, you know that the countdown is on when you get them.
