BS - that doesn't sound nice at all!

I have no idea I'm sorry as to what the problem may be, but do you think it's worth checking with your Dr or his nurse? You can feel a bit doing it if it's nothing, but better to be safe and all that.

I do know steroids can do odd things to your body, so it may be your body's way of complaining about them?

Not helpful, I know!

I guess it depends what steroids you're on. I take steroids for my asthma and they don't effect me during pregnancies and are a boost to babys lungs as an added bonus. I would say talk to your doc about it, sorry not too helpful there

Not sure, but I'd check with your doc. My dad got a nasty stomach ulcer from taking a particular antibiotic once and it made him even sicker than the original bug.

Is it predisone? I get given that for my asthma when its really bad, and it plays havoc with my stomach. I get really bad cramping and dioreahha (sorry TMI) sometimes....even when I have followed the instructions and taken it with food! Its pretty harsh.

I guess it depends on what you are on. Maybe give your pharmacist a call or your GP I guess!

Hope you feel better soon!

Natasha had to take Zantac (sp) I think it's an antacid like Mylanta to help line her stomach but she still got stomach aches everyday for the eight years she was on steroids .
She was also taking folic acid and calcium but I think those were just because she had to take the steriods for such a long time.
"Touch wood" she wont have to take them again.

I'm on prendisone for my arthritis while I'm still breastfeeding so have to take a tablet first thing in the morning to help line my stomach and take calcium as well. Luckily I don't have any side effects.

I've taken it through both pregnancies as most of the other tablets I have to take you can't have while pregnant or breastfeeding...can't wait to go off it that's for sure!
