Just wondering if there are any parents out there who are planning for a baby...I enjoyed my pregnancy and when it came to the labour it didn't turn out quite the way I thought it would...I ended up having a c-section and I am the first in my family to have surgery..I don't want to go through it again..so I am just seeking out mums who had natural births after c-sections and what did you do differently.

Thanks for your time, Fili

Hi there Fili. Im not planning my second baby yet. My son Nicholas is 7mths. I had a wonderful pregnancy but when it came to the labour! I was 18 hours in labour and ended up having a c-section aswell and to top that all off i couldnt breastfeed either!
Im really hoping to have a normal delivery next time too! Heres hoping!

i had a natural birth first time around, but i had a pretty negative birth experience and didnt want to have any more, ended up getting pregnant again (was a suprise pregnancy) and hated it, i was soooooooooooooooooo scared. but a few hours after my second girl was born (after a great birth!) i looked at her and fell in love with her, i just wish i could of enjoyed my pregancy with her though. i hate looking back and feeling how i felt. but moral of my story is that after a bad experience it can be good not speaking from a vbac or c-section though just in general.

goodluck fili!

Well I had a great pregnancy and yet ended up with a c section too. I did not mind that at all (I am the first one in my family to be "opened up" too). I am very keen to have another baby but will wait till my bub is at least a year old....only because I am working.

I know several people who had a c section with their first and natural birth with their second.....dont worry, it all depends on the baby and situations....

i had a great pregnancy with jack and unfortunately had a c-section at 39wks as he was breach. this time, so far i'm having another good pregnancy, not doing anything differently apart from being at home with jack rather than working full time. there's no reason for me having to have a c-section again unless there's complications at the time of course. i'm hoping that things will continue to go well and i can deliver bubs naturally.
but i don't think there's really anything you can do to prevent needing a c-section, it's just the way things go.
