    Posted: 05 June 2008 at 10:48am
For some reason at around midnight when I was trying to sleep, I started thinking about who I would invite to a dinner party if I could have any 4 celebrities in the world come along... Strange I know, but until I had decided, I wasn't able to sleep.

So anyway, my list consisted of people who would make me laugh because I'm not really into the deep and meaningful conversations about politics, religion or culture..

Adam Sandler (Always loved his immature sense of humour and am a big fan of a lot of the comedians from Saturday Night Live)..
Will Ferrell (Same as above)
Ricky Gervais (Funny as hell. Good kind of Brit funny)
Gordon Ramsay (He can cook the meal for a start, but I find him just as funny when he's not yelling and swearing as when he is)

So who are your top 4 invited, currently alive celebrities, and why?

Marilyn Manson, cause he is weird but I would like to have a chat with him.

Victoria Beckham is on my list too cause she comes across as a bit blonde but she must have something between her ears.

Jack Black - funny as guy

Vin Diesel - eye candy!

This seems to be an ever-changing kind of list for me but currently it would be:

Steve Price - I ditto the seems like a nice guy bit, plus he's my kind of eye-candy too!
Dame Judy Dench - I really admire her
Rove McManus - Interesting and funny
Kate Winslet - for some reason I think we'd get along

Hmmm, just realised that's two Aussie blokes and two British women... not particularly global of me!

DP and I played this same game the other night!

Ok mine would be:

Paul Henry: Totally ascerbic and can be a bit offensive, but intelligent, funny and I reckon he'd be great at a dinner party at my house given he seems to be on a similar wavelength as my DP

Jamie Oliver: I love the fact that he's out there trying to improve lives of kids through good food and education. Also I'd like some tips on starting my own inner city garden.

Nelson Mandela: pretty obvious really - what an amazing man. Just to be in his presence would be enough, let alone have him at my dinner table!

Drew Barrymore: She seems like such a down to earth celeb, and has had such a full on life I'd love to chat to her about all she's done. Also, secretly I've had a bit of a girl crush on her since Charlies Angels

Great game....I have different lists depending on whether we are talking celebrities or politicians / world leaders (who are kind of celeberities, but not really IYKWIM!??)

Celebrities:

The food :   Anthony Bourdain - hard ass NYC Chef / Author, cool dude. Have eaten at his restaurant and would love to chat with him about his travels, and his food experiences.

The eye candy :   Daniel Craig -  Yummmmo. No more to say. (but he is a good actor too - Layer Cake rocks!!)

The humour  :   Jack Black - big Tenascious D fans in this house, the music rocks, his comedy rocks....he would be so much fun!

The thinker : Quentin Tarantino - I would love to pick his brains.

ETA : I just noticed that mine is a bloke-fest. Hmmmmm DH wouldnt mind, so long as he could have a seperate party with Kate Winslet, Kate Walsh (addison from Greys), Peter Jackson and Michael Jones.

Number one for me is Gordon Ramsay, enough said if I could only have one he would be it

Alan Langer, (ex Bronco's, Queensland and Aus Leauge player), great league player and also so down to earth.

Bill Clinton, would love to just sit down and talk to him about everything

and Ellen Degeneres, I love her show I always try to watch it and I think she is a cool chick.

There are heaps more too.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Interesting topic.....

I would invite:

Victoria Beckham - I think shes hilarious and from the numerous interviews I've seen she is actually fairly intelligent, plus we could talk shoes!

Katherine Heigl - She is hilarious too and I think we would get along well!

Wentworth Millar - For us to drool over. Plus I would get him drunk and to confess if hes gay or not!

Seth Rogan - Funniest guy on earth. him!

What a fabulous dinner that would be!

For me:

Jamie Oliver - because I love his style of cooking & quick remarks/ideas
Johnny Depp - always loved him as an actor, and I think he'd be interesting as a 'normal' person too
Kate Winslet - same reasons as Johnny Depp
And then either Ellen Degeneres OR Jack Black (can't decide as Im sure I'd enjoy both of their company)
