Help.. Lucy mis 2.5 years is stressing us out and once again (this has happened before) isn't eating her dinner and just pushes it away. We all sit down and eat together, but she still refuses.

Another thing is veges, she will only eat some raw carrot and maybe some cooked brocolli, any suggestions there?

We ended up giving her marmite sammies for tea last night.

I don't have one that old but what mum did with me (I was a fussy eater):

-I always had to sit at the table (and wait for everyone else to finish)
-I didn't get anything else other than what was offered, cos if I did, then I would never eat what was offered again (why would you when you can get what you want)
-No pudding!

Hey Lisha,

Charlotte (26months) is much like this at the moment. Has been for the last month round about. She will eat all her tea sometimes and other times she just has 1 mouthful and that is it.

Basically we serve her up her tea, she sits up with us and if she eats it she eats it and if not that's it. We just carry on and ignore the fact she is not eating, sometimes this is enough to make her eat something. She doesn't get anything else to eat. We have decided not to stress about it as that will just make her play on it. Also she is very much a grazer so we know she is getting enough food during the day, they will eat if they are hungry!!

The other thing we think is a factor is she is not having a day sleep anymore and so by 5.30 she is getting pretty tired and can't concentrate on anything much.

We figure it will right itself in due course, you can't force it into them, so maybe just go with it for the meantime and see if Lucy comes right.

Also on the vege front I grate veges into all sorts of things, so if there is something she will eat maybe try that. Also if Charlotte is watching me cut up the veges sometimes I will offer her bits and she will eat it.

Goodluck, hope she improves soon.
