Topic: Im an aunty again Posted: 11 June 2008 at 8:22am |
Yep my little sis had her baby at 2am yesterday morning, went into full labour at home and came to hospital by ambulance and got wheeled off to theatre for c-section. I was on night shift that night too, and First i knew was when we got a little 37 weeker brought into the unit cos he was cold and low blood sugars, and i looked at the name label and was like "oh my god this is my nephew" so i got to be the first one to hold him, even before my sister and her partner.
Awwww he is sooooo *squuueee* cute, he's 2.6 kilos (5lb 14) and has heaps of long hair about an inch or more thick, and it's ginger. I went back up overnight on my 2am break to drop something at the desk and the nurse said she was awake and feeding him.. so i got to have a quick cluck and cuddle. I am sooooooooooooooooooo badly clucky, am sure i am sprouting feathers as i type.
cute.
Now she just better make sure she looks after him!, I got quite attached in the 5 hours he was with us on night shift cos i got to give him bottles etc..

Yep she is keeping him. His name is Jesse James so J.J for short.
And Nikki, as for the partner in crime..... I currently would not wish my childs behaviour on any unwitting parent. She is such an angry, grumpy tantruming child right now, she regularly makes me cry. Shes not a nice child right now. Even down to putting on pajamas, she won't let me do it, i go into the lounge to find her angrily stamping on them on the floor to be told she can't get them in the right way (they ARE in the right way) so i lay them out on the floor, she promptly zips them up and has to arrange them so they are just perfectly set up. Then decides about 10 minutes later to actually get them on. Nothing right now is met with niceness, everything is an angry angry reactions, even nice things are met with a tantrum. (just slightly at wits end with her, trying to be my usual self with her, but man she drives me nuts) Anyway, i digress.......

Eeeeeeeeeeeek... I had a day like that a few weeks ago and I was totally ready to sell her. Stubborn little demons aren't they? Luckily Hannah pulled through and has been better since.... (just waiting for next round!) Hope Ayja comes back soon!!!

Yeah we have just signed her up for swimming lessons - so hopefully some one on one time with me, and a bit of an outlet for her craziness (plus it'll tucker her out)
