Um, I was having a shower and cleaning my wound from the caesar, and noticed theres a few stiches poking thru the skin.. Is this normal from shrinkage of the wound or should I be going to see someone about it? It doesnt hurt or anything.

Are they dissolvable stitches (sorry don't know what they use in c-sects but I assume they are)? If so, you can just pull them out. I had them with my breast reduction recently and just pulled one when it came to the surface. All it means is that there's not enough fluid to dissolve them so the body spits them out.

I'm sick but I had fun looking for mine once I got over the ick factor! They just popped up every day. DH thinks I'm nuts, I don't disagree with him.

I pulled out the knot at the end and OMG

Most c-sections are sewn up with disposable stitches but I have heard of someone going back to hospital to get her stitches removed.

I had a knot at one end, I never did anything to it and then one day it was gone!

I had that knot too (some people have beads on that end) and like Peachy it was there one day and gone the next! I wouldn't worry too much about it if it's not bothering you
You'll probably notice it more now because your scar is beginning to shrink too

I had dissolvable ones and there were knots at either end. At 4 weeks the MW just pulled them taut and cut them so that there was no stitching above the skin.

I had a knot showing either end of mine to. Had mw cut them off as were causing discomfort (ended up with infection where one was) but they were disolvable and would have gone/dropped off by themselves eventually.
