Okay I need to ask this cuz you've all been thru it all before etc.
So last night me and Matt actually got some 'time to ourselves' shall we say. First time in many many months and my god it BURNED. I dont have thrush or anything nasty, I expected it to be a bit sore but burning? Its enough to put one off for life! Has anyone else been thru this? It totally put a whole damper on the situation and I got quite upset about it :(

I second that. Good luck hun. I remember crying when I first had "relations" with DF a month after PJ was born. I felt randy, but my body wasn't right. I ended up waiting another month until I felt comfortable. But I know what you mean, it is quite upsetting.

It can make you feel a lil depressed. Wait a couple of days and try again, if it does work out... leave it a bit longer (ie. couple of weeks).
 Good luck hun xx

If you are still having probs mention it to your MW. It is often a bit uncomfy but it shouldnt be so sore that it stops you doing it.

I had issues with this too, more from the stretching outside than the inside bit if that makes sense lol. Give it another week or two and try again, gently, see how you go. I takes a little while to remember how it all works again |

It took me until about 10 weeks before I was lubricated enough for it to feel like it wasn't the 'first time' again. (and Rowan didn't even exit that way!). It's definitely hormones to blame and it will come right. Just take it slow - don't get too down on yourself. |

I can't really help, as "relations" *giggle* are still painful for me I have to go see a specialist because it's still inflamed and stuff down there. But I just wanted to give you a hug I totally know how you feel. Especially after feeling totally gross throughout my whole pregnancy, I really love being able to have special cuddles again, but it totally puts a damper on things when you can't really enjoy it properly It sucks!!
Hope that you manage to sort it out, maybe you could try a different lube?

I would wait another couple of weeks. Most people recommend 6 weeks for your body to get into a new sense of normal. It still hurt for me for about another month after that, but I just kept persevering |

All ican say is man your game!!! After josh exited from that er region DP wasnt allowed in a 1m radius of my vajayjay for probably the first 3 months then for his sake we gave it go then that was it for another couple of weeks before we did it again. He could probably count on 1 hand (and tell you exact times and date) of the few times i have let him go there. It still hurts a little but its getting better i think in part its just in my head now.

Oh hugs, it could have been cos' you were a but tense about having "relations" so soon after giving birth even though you really wanted it......i was.....and we only waited 4 weeks too.... i would wait a couple more weeks before having another go, but hey there are heaps of other things you two could do to each other without actually having to have "relations" in the mean time.....if you get the opportunity to get down and dirty again......but dont give up or let it put you off for life....

Lube definately played a big part for us. Still didnt help the burning, time only took care of that. Each time, we would wait a couple of days to a week and then try again. Gradually the burning disappeared. Found out my burning was due to abrasions (scrapes) inside of me due to baby being born. They did gradually disappear as the abrasions healed up. Just give yourself time inbetween each "relation" to continue healing.
Its bad enough trying to get your head around "relations" so soon after baby is born let alone this.

Oh dear! Sorry had a wee chuckle!!
Is the burning from skin stretching or just a burning sensaion from the um,,,, friction?
I remember after Alex & Blaire I was quite "tight" down there which I put down to the fact that they wee c-section babies & the body's natural response was to tighten everything up after giving birth but because they didn't come out that way it was just supertight..... The tight burning feeling disappeared after a few goes.
Didn't have that problem this time & when we got back into "relations" (after just over a week!) it was just like normal

Yeah I had the tight problem as well and i read in the "what we should have been told" thread in the c/s section that you can get tight downstairs for a while afterwards, which was a relief cos I was thinking i would never have sex again it was so bad the first time we tried.
So yeah just take it easy the first few times and even some extra shop bought lube might help things for bit.
