And once again i am here but this is a little different.

I need help/advice re Energy . I have below 0 energy levels and have had for about the last 2-3 weeks. I get to work and want to go home, i have sore legs and by about 2pm (i start at 8.30) i am exhusted, oh yea an my concentration is shocking i have a very bad preggy brain .

I now it is normal to get tired etc but i am absolutely stuffed. Is there anyone else like this? I am not really worried but will mention it to my midwife at my next appointment.

get your iron levels checked. I was the same and just really down but had my iron done and they were 5 and anything below 20 is to low, ive just started iron and its made such a difference. at the start of my pregnancy I was normal, good levels but they just changed majorly so if you havent had them done I would check again

I feel like that some days.
Being pregnant is a major thing for our bodies.

Definitely get your iron checked. I take natural iron everyday anyway and a Mutivitamin.

I think to get more energy you need to use a bit more?

Are you doing any exercise?Maybe go for a 20min walk if you can make it every day? get the blood pumping!

linelle,
i have been AMAZINGLY tired and low in energy the past few weeks myself, we are at the same stage im wondering if its all part of it? i have my midwife appt today at 11am and will be asking her about it, to rule out low iron etc... bloods should be done soonish (28 weeks?)
in the mean time listen to your body, if you need tor rest just do it! take a day off work to just vege!
take care!

I have been very tired the past few days - I am 20 weeks now and havent felt so tired since 10 weeks ago! Someone suggested it may be linked to a growth spurt? who knows - but I know how horrible it is - I am just hatign work and could quite happily put my head on my desk and sleep right now at 9.30 in the morning! Good luck I hope you start to feel better soon...!

I was like that until I started walking once or twice a week. Now Im feeling great. As (Kelly)kelpa says
I think to get more energy you need to use a bit more?

Let me know how you go with your blood tests cos could be low IRon too.

Take it easy aye. If you have to have some time off work have it. dont fight what your body is telling you. See how you go after your tests. Good luck. Hope you feel some energy back soon.

How about Vit C? My MW recommended it, so I have been drinking orange juice and its helping a lot. But I would get you iron checked aswell.

In the morning i feel great but by late afternoon im ready to curl up. Ive just started taking iron and vitamin c tablets because my iron levels were low, which was discovered when i had my glucose test done at 28 weeks...but by the time i get home in the evening i find myself falling to sleep between 7 and 8.30.

Janine says this a lot (yay to have a nurse on this board) but to absorb the iron properly you need to have sufficient vit C as well... so good idea to get drinking orange juice or take iron + vit C like some others are doing.

Kiwifruit are really high in vit C if you aren't really a fan of oranges.
