have your drinking habits changed?
in stuff they have an article about drinking habits not having changed since the economic recession, despite everything else being in cut-back mode.
Mine have definitely not. Basically, i very rarely drink. before and after.

I don't really drink. The odd glass of wine - maybe 2 or 3 a week, so I'm not a good candidate for comparison.
But DH's beer drinking certaily hasn't slowed down!

Am having a beer right now.
Our "Drinking habits" haven't changed due to the recession, however, due to having kids....

Yes!
I was a complete booze hag before I got preg - well before I found out I was preg anyway. I went out for the second time since Thomas arrived on friday night and had many drinks, but I dont feel the need to do it every weekend now. Its great :D

For me no, I've never been a big drinker. I've had maybe 3 glasses of wine this year!
DH doesn't buy as much beer, he use to buy a doz every month but now he doesn't as it's a waste of $

I basically stopped drinking once I got pregs with Ella, and didn't really start again.
I have a couple of drinks verrrrrrrry occasionally when we get a night off but I'm such a lightweight now, that's all I need to get drunk!

lol me too Mel! I stopped when preggers with Ollie and could probably count the number of drinks on one hand that I've had since then. I remember going to a 30th wedding anniversary party and had less than half a glass of wine, and felt it go straight to my head

A little. I think coz its the winter months that I don't want to drink. In the summer months I will probably have a few drinks again.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Yup I drank heaps before having Neosha NEVER spent a weekend at home and now well it's VERY rare but DP and I have a couple of RTD's with SINGSTAR in hand some weekends once Neosha is in bed. Only just started drinking again in the last 4-5 months though. Enjoy a wine every now and again but we used to drink 3-4 times a week not anymore! and such a waste of money!

DH switched to a couple of bourbon and cokes instead of a couple of beers cos it works out waaaay cheaper (and he prefers it anyway)
This year he has bought 2 boxes of 24 beers, cos they were on special and he felt like them.
I am a vodka drinker, but dont tend to drink much at home anyway.
We have started going to bars with happy hour after work if we feel like a quiet social on a friday ($4 wine and spirits, $5 tap beer). It was getting far too expensive paying $8-$10 for drink (darn auckland prices!)
