Topic: belly casts Posted: 12 May 2006 at 9:37pm |
Have any of you ladies ever done one of these? If yes, how did it go, who did you go through, or did you do it yourself with one of the kits?
If not, have you considered it? I am, but not seriously *just* yet - and if I were to I would go for the at home kit as it's heaps cheaper.
I think it would be an awesome memento to have, and to hang up as artwork once it's decorated !

You can keep it plain, or decorate it - then hang it up as artwork, or just display it. Either that or keep it in a box I guess.

You could use it for a salad bowl or punch bowl when entertaining...

Trouble is you'd have to line it with waterproof plastic or something LOL so the plaster wouldn't crack or get damaged somehow (not to mention find a way to balance it on the table). I have seen a cast of just the belly used as a clock face, and then a 'torso' one (breasts, belly, and hands) used as a cover for wall hanging potted plant holder ! Still not sure whether I will do it though, or have the $$

LOL - I'd be able to turn mine into a paddling pool or sandpit for the boys.
