This might sound kind of strange, but is anyone else finding that their skin is really itchy all over??? I cant go 10 minutes without wanting to scratch - and it is EVERYWHERE!!!! Havent changed anything in my diet, havent changed washing powders. It is so strange!

It's a pregnancy thing I've had that too - from memory the only thing you need to worry about is isolated itching on the hands and feet? It's something to do with your kidneys, but can't remember what or where I read it ... apparently THAT'S a pregnancy thing too!

I got really itchy from my skin being stretched... but it can be a liver thing in pregnancy too, so if you are REALLY itchy and you are worried about it then mention it to your Dr, they can send you for bloods if they are concerned.

Yep, it is a pregnancy thing (oh the joys!), but if it's really bad and all over, then it's worth mentioning to your M/W or Doc. Sometimes it's just one of those things, sometimes it's something they need to keep an eye on.

Try googling PUPPP. This is one of the joyful skin conditions you can get (don't know if it's what you have) - I got this in my last 4 weeks, starting at my tummy but going over my whole body from there. You can use hydrocortisone creams, but it needs to be under the supervision of your Dr, so it's probably worth going and seeing them and making sure it's not the horrible liver-related rash.
You have my sympathy - it's absolutely hideous being INSANELY itchy when pregnant!

I had it too and had elevated liver function tests for about a month and the itching is insane. Another possibility is chloestasis and I had my Bile Salt levels checked a couple of times for this as well. I was having bloods taken 2-3 times a week towards the end.
It does go away really fast after you have baby so just hang in there and do what you need to do to get some relief. Hopefully your bloods will come back clear and it's just one of those preggie things.

I itch all the time too. Especially when I take my clothes off. Usually I have to get up and let DH go to sleep, otherwise I drive him bonkers with all the wriggling and scratching.
Gah! Even thinking about itching has made me itchy!!

I had that when i was pregnant. The doctors thought i had Cholestasis which i think is to do with the liver.. cant remember! The itching drove me nuts!
