Not sure if I have spelt this right?!
Anyway, does anyone know if they have a website as I have tried looking and have found nothing. Also, what are their prices like and are they good quality?

I think they are expensive. I only get them through bounty vouchers.
I think you are possibly better off to pay for a sitting with a photographer and get tons of photos instead.

The sitting is often free but they make you pay for the photos...

Their prices are quite expensive but if you have been offered a free pic, then that's ok if you can't afford to go for a professional sitting at the moment. Just don't get sucked in to buy their packages - very pricey.

Thanks! Might give it a miss at the moment... still have to save to go to OZ in 6 weeks, so need the money for that.
Can anyone in Christchurch recommend any good photographers that aren't on the pricey side but not budget either?

I asked about Pixie Photos a while ago in the general thread link. We ended up using a photographer (Momentz Photography actually) and everyone comments on how wonderful they are. With Pixifotos I think they only take 6 photos whereas we had about 70 taken

I paid $400 well a little under that for my pics I got A HUGE one free not sure of the size, one large portrait size free and 9 different settings then I got all those photos in 3 different sizes, I just told my family what they want they have to buy so they all pitched in and purchased $200 worth and I was left with all the really large ones to hang on my wall and a few for xmas presents all for $200... I was stoked lol
You can choose which you want or just take your free large portrait and leave the rest... you can always layby as well.
We also have professional pics they cost us $650 for about 30-40 different pics but not as many copies so I wanted to keep them all becuase that was the only one of some of them lol but we could buy extra if we wanted.. budget just didn't allow for it though. We only got one Large one as well it was expensive for those. I would ring around and see what deal you can get with a professional photographer you may be surprised what you find

I Penny Nichols photography - she did our wedding photos and we told her to put the price up because she was SO good and really far to cheap!
She does childrens packages, I think its about $150 and you get all the photos AND negatives.
Heres the website Linky
Yah did that just work?

Just checked out momentz and the photos look awesome! Saw a few familiar cutie faces too (Ella G, Max, Oliver aww). How much are the packages? Or am I totally blind and it says in somewhere on the website I just can't see?
Oh and we're the same with pixifoto, just get the free one. In my opinion they're expensive for what they are, and don't look amazing.

I personally dont recommend pixie! the ones ive had done werent that great especially for the prices they charge. However my SIL has had some done at Botnay and they came out good.
I got some awesome ones done by expression sessions - they are an ozzy based company but were doing a promo in some of the malls we got 8 different poses (plus a free one) for $400 and i got to chose which ones i could take and what sizes/combos etc.
I like the momentz ones too and we are thinking of getting some done at some stage. I also have a voucher i won for vivid photography so will be interesting to see how they turn out (we arent getting them done till feb after Rylan has been here for a while)

Hi ladies
I would recommend you check out Poppet photography!
www.poppet.co.nz
they do all the photography for OHbaby! magazine and they just recently did my family photos and they're beautiful.
Fiona Tomlinson is one of the best - she's done photoshoots for heaps of magazines and heaps of celebrities - Trinny and Susannah when they were here, rachel hunter. - pretty much anyone on the cover of new idea, all the kiwi celebs, she did the wedding of Carol Robinson (?? trv3 news) our latest gold medalist Valerie etc
She is seriously good and seriously lovely - she's so easy to get along with.
Anyway, that's who I recommend- and they can tailor to suit your budget!
check 'em out
xx

We mainly pay for the sitting free which is sometimes $5 or $10.90 then get the free 10x13. We have on the odd occasion bought a few poses if they are really good and the only big package we have ever brought is when DS was 12 months from Portrait Place. My son poses better with a photographer than he does with us.
