Topic: Chinese Birth Charts? Posted: 27 August 2008 at 4:38pm |
Just a quick query/interesting finding.
I am at work and very busy....not! so I did a wee study on the birth charts as we are hoping for a wee girl next time and thought we would start ttc in Dec.
I goggled birth charts and then did the top 10.
They were all right for my son but then got mixed for conceiving a daughter.
Nov 9/10 boy
Dec 9/10 girl
Jan 9/10 boy
Feb 8/10 boy
March 9/10 boy
April 10/10 girl
Anyone else found that they are inconsistent and not all the same.

From what I've read you dont use your actual age. You have to work out your lunar age at conception. Some chinese charts say this, some dont.
I think I remember reading a chart a few years ago and one of my girls should have been a boy lol

Plus DH the party pooper said that if it was so good why is there a problem with to many girls being born and not boys.

I did a thread about this a while ago and although it was right for a lot of people, there were a lot that were wrong as well. It was right for my first daughter but since I have been told that this one on the way is also a girl, the charts were wrong.. unless it pops out with boy bits!

I treat these charts as a bit of fun only. The top 10 all looked the same to me. For me, they said I have boy, girl, boy, girl - in fact I actually have girl, girl, girl, maybe boy.
(bollocks!! )

A problem? The chart isn't anything to do with there being too much of one sex. What if the majority were actually trying for girls?

Yeah you need to use your lunar age - there's a site if you google 'chinese birth prediction calendar' that comes up close to the top and it has both the normal and corrected versions. Mine was wrong for normal, right for corrected. (Normal was my age 21, lunar age was actually 22).
The charts (corrected ones for lunar ages) say that I have a 11/12 chance of conceiving a girl from now until the following September!

Were all yours the same for the first 5, Kellz?
I think that is you are using one, that as long as you follow theinstructions forthat one then it "should" be fine.
Am only using it as a bit of fun, am not going to swear by it but just thought it was interesting that some of them are different when techinally they should all be identical, shouldn't they?

I've had a look at these (since having Hannah) and no matter which way I sliced it, Hannah "should" have been a boy
