Well I have read through lots of posts about sore bums and nipples and Asthma and YUCKY births!! And I think I would be put off if I was a new Mum to be or One just getting there!!

...I had a pretty crusey first pregnancy .....I had a really really tough time tho for 18 months after I had Paige. It was not the best and I swore I would never do it again.... (Hence it taking 7 years to do it again)

Well here I am and I am going into it all remembering some of the not-so nice things BUT I would not have it any other way. I love my munchkin No 1!

Everyone is so different....Pregnancies, Bodies, Labours and BABIES all are so very different. What works for one of us ...doesnt for another and may not even happen!!!!

I think I have tried to learn that keeping an open mind...taking note of what others say but not taking it for gospel and enjoying the whole experience day by day is the best way (some times it seems hard)....

Especially when they grow so fast....

And having this board is great as it gives so much info that you just do not get told out there!!!

Enjoy your BIG BUMPS!!!

I so agree, I've learned so much from the Oh Baby forums, and the main thing I've learned is that every person/pregnancy is different. i think this is a time in life when there is no such thing as too much information!

I agree as well! I've found everyone so helpful, especially since 35 weeks ago I new nothing about babies and pregnancy.
I also think its great that everyone is quite cautious about the advice they give and always tell people to check with your midwife. Having said that pretty much everything I have learnt here has been backed up by my midwife, friends and anti natal. So Ive come to trust the advice. It also shows the diversity of how women respond to pregnancy and labour - I know that I dont know whats going to happen when I go into labour, but I have a pretty good range of ideas about whats likley to happen thanks to these boards. I also have most of my most embarrassing questions answered without even having to ask them.

So, thanks everyone for being so helpful

I think I'm quite brutal in my honesty about birth, really don't want to scare you ladies so I'll tell you also that it can't be that bad if many women choose to do it again! Even I'm considering it (in a few years) after swearing that there was no way I'd have another child.
