Actually UTI is a very good call, I know with my first ever one, I got incredibly sick and just wanted to throw up all the time. Funny looking back now, as I had a list of symptoms and said the hurting when peeing last, doctors face almost lit up then as it was an easy diagnosis.

i hope the doctor can sort you out kellie, peeing 10 times a night does sound a lot like a uti. if thats what it is i would feel tempted to growl at your midwife for not checking you for it. they are very common and can make you quite sick, as sarah-beth said.
let us know how you go

Oh you poor thing Kellie - this is not good at all. You should be enjoying your pregnancy at this stage, I do hope that the doctor can suggest something for you. Good Luck and keep your chin up. Let us know how you get on.

Thnx ladies,

Went to the doctors. She did a test for uti but said it looked clear but still going to send away.. She said baby probably sitting low.  She said sounds like I have  a virus and have very high temperature. Told me to come home to bed and if it gets worse to go back. She has sent away blood tests also. She told me to take paracetomol and rest. I also have  alot of swelling which she said if gets worse to go back...

Regarding my weight, well I was 79 pre pregnancy and now Im 105 kilos. yikes!!! She told me to start eating more healthy cos cant afford to put on more weight cos it will be hard to lose afterwards.

I have to be careful. Although I was careful to begin with with a few treats She said its just what my body needs. Not to diet, just cut down on fatty foods.

A bit depressing regarding my weight cos she said even brestfeeding wont help me lose weight very fast cos of my weight and that only smaller girls lose it fast. Im usually 63 kgs and have always been a yoyo with my weight and lost it fast so I reckon I can do it.

How can the GP be so sure that you won't lose the extra weight?!!?! HOW RUDE!

I wasn't exactly "Slimmer of the year" before I got pregnant and haven't put that much on since, but who can honestly say that YOU won't lose weight?!?!? I'm sure you'll be back to your smaller self in no time if you put your mind to it (says she who is allergic to the gym lol) and if you don't who cares as long as you're happy!

Im just glad that you are both okay and nothing is wrong. Weight gain is common and in my opinion trying not to think about that would be a good idea. Just focus on being a bit more active and eating lots of good stuff (that will benefit both fo you cherubs)
I agree..Its nonsense them saying stupid things like that about losing weight. Everyones bodies are not alike. I believe that breastfeeding does help....

Kel...I found this on the web...

Breastfeeding provides definite health benefits for you as well as your baby. Besides being an ideal way to closely bond with your new child, breastfeeding helps stimulate hormones that shrink your uterus back to its pre-pregnancy size. According to some studies, women who breastfeed are 50 per cent less likely to get pre-menopausal breast cancer, and are at lower risk from ovarian cancer and osteoporosis as well. Breastfeeding also helps you lose weight after pregnancy because it uses up the special kind of fat you put on with pregnancy before it becomes an established part of your body shape.

Breastfeeding helps you lose that weight at exactly the right pace. You don't want to lose too much weight straight after giving birth, though. Breastfeeding women need an extra 2 to 4 kilograms (5 to 10 pounds) over their pre-pregnancy weight to keep their body healthy while they nourish their child. If you lose weight too rapidly, it could have a negative effect on your milk supply when your baby has a growth spurt and needs to eat more. Those extra kilos will slip away naturally over the first six months.

Please dont worry..you are going to be fine and you will lose weight and look georgeous as you do now on your wedding DAY!!!

good to hear you're ok kellie, and jaxon too!
take it easy and make sure you're being well looked after!
r.e. the weight thing, don't take what the doctor said as gospel. i had so many people tell me so many different things about how long it would take me to get my shape back and in the end my body just kind of found it's own 'normal' regardless of whether i was eating well & exercising, or sitting on the couch all day eating junk.
