I have had a horrible cold for over a week now that I can't seem to shake. I was talking to my friend today about how I'm not eating much and have no tastebuds so in the mornings have no idea what to pull out to defrost for dinner. Anyway she rung at 5.30 and said she had put double the amount of dinner on and would drop half off to us so I didn't have to cook    She's so lovely!!

When Keira got up this morning and said' Im getting up now mum, I'll go watch TV and you just stay in bed and sleep"
It was so sweet, and she let us sleep for an hour too before she got too hungry and had to wake us up for breakfast.

Woohoo Bee, I'd be stoked too.

My little lady is just starting to talk a lot more now and this evening she was in the throes of a hissy fit when I handed her a bowl with about 1 teaspoon of sprinkles in it she took them, the temper stopped and she looked at me and said "I'm happy" (well it was actually "ha-hy" but I'm not being picky).

My wee bubba signed "more" today when she wanted more food (rather than just copying me) and she was absolutely delighted when I understood her and gave her some more orange!

Going grocery shopping with Jett!  I love having him come shopping with me, he's so happy to be out and smiles & "talks" to the rest of the customers passing by, and makes them smile too (most of them seem to be elderly and they always just love a smiley baby).

Aww.

I had a few!

- super huge smiles from my boy when I got home from work
- one of my students giving me a thing of Throaties as a Random Act of Kindness (we'd been talking about it in class last week and she thought I could do with some, bless her)
- another of my students saying it was nice to have me back
- the kids being really settled and quiet and working hard during Reading (and one of the boys saying it was cos he'd told everyone to be quiet cos I was still sick lol)

And from yesterday not today, but it was just the sweetest thing EVER. I was resting in bed and DH came in with yummy breakfast - boiled eggs and toast soldiers, and he and Harry had gone outside and picked me some lavendar and he'd wrapped it up in a little bundle with a bow. Was so lovely.

WOW! Jade, well done!!

I spent 2 hours yesterday morning doing housework and felt completely knackered. A lady come over to measure up our dining room and kitchen for new flooring and commented on what a lovely clean and tidy house I have!
Made me feel like my efforts weren't wasted

This is from yesterday too...

When my DH got home at about 6.30pm so got to see Jack before bed, not usually a biggy except that DH has been working 18 hour days lately and hasn't seen Jack awake for a few weeks other than a couple of moments here and there. So yeah that was pretty cool So whoever the guy was that decided to let DH go home, I love you!
