Topic: Rude response from company Posted: 14 September 2008 at 8:44am |
I am trying to organise gabriels 5th birthday parth and was thinking about getting it catered. I found a company called kiddies catering that had packs for a good price and also some adult platters. I emailed them asking for more details about their novelty boxes and more info re the loot bags and games they do also. Their website states for people to contact them as it doesnt have much info on the site. So anyway i get a reply back last night and i was very disappointed.
My response from them was:
Theme of party is a help !!
A
And that was it, no name of the person even. SO i emailed her back and said that because of her lack of a reply i would be taking my business elsewhere.
I was so annoyed.

No wonder they're so cheap, they probably have to be to make up for the rude customer service!

I thought you were asking her for information?
I don't get her responses either, aren't you the customer and she's supposed to provide the answers.

That's shocking! Reminds me of that email saga that went on a while ago with the lady from the catering company and the chocolate covered strawberries.
I don't know how they think they're going to get any business with customer service like that. And her original 'request for information' wasn't actually a request - that would have required her to actually form a question in her email. I read it as a statement (complete with !!!). What a dumb*ss.

That's so incredibly bad. At work, if I'm even replying with the simplest thing, I always include a greeting, try and bulk the answer out a bit and then always a proper sign off! There is a million nicer ways for her to have replied to your initial email. Ugh!

Slack. Totally slack.
And bad punctuation. Really annoying.
I most definitely wouldn't be using their company.

wow - if I had sent an email like that for work my boss would have torn me a new one . Soooo unprofessional.
I saw a cute site advertised in a kids magazine and have stored it away for next year - http://www.poppyseed.co.nz/ - maybe they would be better??
