   Hi girls,
I have been getting an itchy tummy lately which could be due to the fact that it's growing or perhaps I am allergic to Bio Oil? Can anyone recommend any type of cream to use to make it better?

I had an itchy tummy yesterday... I'm not sure what it was from either. I had put on bio oil yesterday morning before heading into town but I'm not sure what it was from since bio oil hasnt made me itcy before. Maybe its just clothes rubbing on you and me... but i have no idea. Hold a cool cloth on your belly... helped me a little bit and now i have scratch marks coming up which hurt alot. So... dont scratch to much. |

I got an itchy tummy from Bio-Oil after I had had my baby, so could be.

mine has been itchy a lot this time too. i got a rash from some cheap singlets i brought but its also been generally itchy some days and not others. i haven't noticed any new stretchmarks so maybe its just a growing thing?

You could be right it might just be because it's stretching. I might try a different cream and see if that helps too |

my tummy has started to get itchy too and i dont use bio oil. I think its hormones and stretching and also have two friends who get an itchy thing in the later stages of pregnancy, if it gets really bad let your midwife know because it is actually a medical problme and they can give you something for it

I get an itchy tummy (mainly around my bellybutton) from around 14 weeks. I don't use anything other than a light moisteriser occasionally. I agree that it's probably just the stretching causing it.

Yip my tummy has been itchy too. Only the last 3 weeks or so though and I have been using bio oil since 12 weeks. I'm pretty sure it is from stretching |

I third that, methinks stretching causes it too.  Calamine lotion helps (but looks nasty on!).

I get an itchy tummy occasionally - I think it is my skin protesting about being stretched out even further. More annoying are the itchy nipples - there is no discreet way to rub your nipple in public!

LMAO me too Maree! I have REALLY sensitive skin and use the Palmers massage cream for stretch marks (not that it has stopped me getting stretch marks even though I use it twice a day! ) but it makes your skin feel nice and silky afterwards and not as itchy as it would if you had dry skin.

I get an itchy tummy all the time. Its just stretching I think!
Good old Aqueous cream from the chemist is as good as any for itchy skin....

Bio Oil and Palmers for prevention of those stretch marks.

I get itchy boobs when I take my bra off at night...drives me nuts for 5 minutes!
