Well everyone wanted an update so I thought I had better make a post to let ya all know I'm going to make it short & sweet because otherwise I will be typing FOREVER! I haven't been having the greatest week, on Monday I had a hindwater leak & some bleeding so off to Waikato hospital I toodled.
I was admitted for monitoring & then the plan was to do a c-section so my mum shot down to pick up Alex....then the plan changed, I was to have a scan then discuss options.....had the scan and Bubs was happy & my leak had sealed itself so they put it all off & I have an induction date of 1st of June (Thursday) if nothing happens before then. And I was released on Wednesday afternoon to sit it all out & wait.
Very very frustrating, and I had a huge scare when I went for my scan on Tuesday at the hospital. Spencer was with me & I didn't here the estimated weight of the baby, so I asked him and he said 10 pound 14!!!!!!!!!!! I was like "Holy F#ck!!"...I think I asked him about 6 or 7 times if he was sure of the size & he was like "yup, yup, I'm positive".....But thank god he was WRONG! Blimen males with painted on ears GRRRRR!!!
Anyway Bubs is estimated to be 8 pound 14 which is still a decent size. They reckon it can be 10% either side of that so there is still a chance he will be a bit smaller than that (Oh please please please!!!) and I'm still hoping to have my VBAC so fingers crossed for me ladies!!! Well so much for short & sweet... LOL!

oh fingers crossed for you. Can I ask, how did they know your leak had sealed itself? That happened to me but i wasnt allowed to leave the hospital at all, not even to go to the mall or anything.

Hi there, they decided it had sealed itself because I didn't leak anymore & the scan showed a good amount of fluid around Bubs.
I thought I had just wet myself which was embarrassing but because I caught it on a pad they were able to determine it was actually amniotic fluid.
They were more concerned about the bleeding I had because they thought it came from my caesarean scar.

Thanks everyone! I'm still dreaming of a baby in the 7 pound range but I don't think its likely unless he is really skinny LOL!
 I'm pretty positive he won't be a 10 pounder but definitely late 8's or early/mid 9's.
Alex was 9 pound 2 so probably a similar size for this Bubba |
