Topic: I HATE school holidays! Posted: 29 September 2008 at 2:24pm |
Gah! The little sh*ts who live down the road just snuck up the front of our house and threw a huge clod of dirt at our front window and woke up DD2! Little did they know I was sitting right there (gave me a hell of a fright) so I was up and hanging out the window yelling at them 'I know where you live!' as they ran away (I know, classy). Three about 10-year old boys.
No idea why they did it other than they're bored already - first day of holidays. Ugh. We usually only see them walking past our place on the way to the dairy, but never had any trouble with them before. If they come back I'm marching right down the road to talk to their parents...although I know the house and probably the parents don't give a crap anyway. And I'm not sure I'm in to confronting them by myself

Kids eh! Never a dull moment. Maybe they need some constructive activities to occupy their time. Perhaps you have some gardening they could do to apologise...

Gah, I would be demanding war on those little brats
I hate the holidays too... One of ours has gone to stay with his grand father for a week, but the other two are already driving us insane with their constant 'i wants' and b*tching at each other.... Roll on term 4 I say

I have to admit, I am having a wee chuckle at becoming the cranky old neighbour who yells at all the kids I might take up your idea Fi!
Was also sitting here thinking 'they'd better not come a-knocking on my door come halloween expecting sweets' - not that we do halloween anyway but it's fun to imagine getting my revenge

I agree, I would have gone to the parents when they threw the dirt, no way would they get away with that.
Our next door neighbours are really nice girls but man they ask soooo many questions its so draining, and I am going to be at home next year with a new bub they will try come round every day . How can you say no to kids who are just plain bored at home.

I have found that the neighbourhood hang out is my driveway in the school holidays

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Hehe my dad shot my cousin in the foot with a slug gun when they were on holidays (only a few years difference between them). Apparently him and his brother were using her as 'target practice' and then making her dance while shooting the ground like they do in the westerns No wonder she went off the rails when she was older
I'm the kind of person that would march down to their place and fling mud in the middle of the night lol I'm very very evil like that (an eye for an eye I say...)
