Topic: Evap line?! Posted: 12 October 2008 at 6:05pm |
I'm asking on behalf of a friend (sorry ladies )
She's 11DPO today and took a Pregnow test this morning with FMU and no second line came up during the testing time.
She then had a shower (15-20 mins) and looked at the test again and there was a faint second line.
A few hours later looked at it again and the second line had totally gone.
Would this be an evap line?
TIA

I would think so , the positive should have some colour and stay for a bit longer than that, also it should show up within the time frame, i time my watch for ten minutes, then i chuck it out .

Yep sounds like evap to me, positives would stay forever that's why some women keep the tests.

i think if it was positive the line would not fade away.
Iv used quite a few different brands for all my preggies and have kept all the positive ones (sentimental) and even Bays tests from over 5 years ago are still obvious.

Mine are still positive, they dont fade cos the ink dyes I think. That said, the first +ive I got that was super faint and I thought was an evap line did fade away, but after a a couple of days not on the same day.
Tell her to throw it away and try again in a day or two!
Gosh hun, I got all confused I was just looking at your chart thinking yeah you ovulated!
