Im amazed and sad.

I dropped Kylah off an hour ago at daycare for her first day. Not only did she NOT cry when i left, but shes already gone down for her first nap without a hitch. They put her down, and she went to sleep within 5 mins!!

I dont know whats worse!! She didnt even cry!! She pretty much waved bye and was off exploring!! What a traitor, in all reality though im kind of relieved that shes taken so well to it. I barely slept last night cos i was so worried she was going to hate it and scream the place down!

And yes shes only been there an hour and iv rung twice

Take it as a sign you have raised a well adjusted little Kylah!  She is obviously so secure in her relationship with you that she is happy to explore new things....mum will get me later.

As for going down for her first sleep...bloody hell!!!! Tom was a nightmare to sleep at daycare.  I just didnt worry about it.  There was far too much going on for sleep

Im proud but absolutly shoked. I mean shes the girl that hated all people. Anyone try to talk to her let alone pick her up and she will be screaming!! I am absolutly stoked shes taken it so well and loves the ladies, she smiled as soon as she seen them!!

Probably helps they have 2 babies today and 3 teachers lol! Wasnt quite as busy as they expected!

And its rice risotto for luch :)

That's great Kandice!  I bet she went down for a nap so easily because she was tired from all the excitement!  Now maybe you can have one too, to catch up on the lost sleep last night.

SO what are you going to do with yourself today?  No baby to care for - whoopee!

I honestly dont know. I walked inside and was like hmmm.. i took today off to settle her but she doesnt need me too!

Im stumped, iv already done the washing, changed the beds..

Might sort through all Kylahs clothes since shes not here to throw them around after i fold them then might go for a walk to the mall and get a coffee, and a haircut

That is really cool, she obviously feels very secure there. And there are new toys there so she will love it.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I think thats totally wonderful

Take it from a mummy who used to have a little man who would be absolutely hysterical when I left him, most days he'd have to be prised off my legs so I could leave

He's at a new daycare now, and totally loves it. Waves bye bye, kisses and everything!!

Yay for Kylah! And yay for mummy having some time to herself today.

That's awesome!
As nzpiper said, she's obviously a well-adjusted wee girl, comfortable in the knowledge that Mummy will be back later.

Enjoy your day
Get ready for the great big smiles when you pick her up

Yup i got her into bed, she had a pretty full on day so was quite overtired. Shes back there today, but she has to stay a full day today as i went early yesterday and had to wake her up hence the mood also. So they said aim for a full day today.

She goes Monday Tuesdays and Thursdays :)

which one is she going to kandice?
it's so sad for mummy when they first start...i remember walking out and getting into the car then bursting into tears! did that when both kids started daycare. not that either of them got upset, just me

i really feel for the mums that have kids crying when they leave, it must be so upsetting

now when i go to pick them up i have to chase them around to get them to come home
