Can I have some filling ideas please. My boys will eat them with cheese and that is about it and they love them for lunch at daycare so I want some more exciting ideas please.

My fave is turkish toasted with ham, cheese, baby spinach and cranberry sauce but not sure how child-friendly that is!
My girls love any combo of ham, cheese, pineapple, spaghetti, baked beans, capsicum...

My kids like cheese and marmite, occasionally they will let me sneak a bit of last nights dinner in and if I'm feeling industrious and they're not watching me make them, I sometimes put a bit of grated carrot and/or spinach in with the cheese and marmite

If you have a sandwich toaster that seals around the edges. Crack an egg onto a slice of bread, pop another on top and toast.
scrummy yummy!

For me and McKayla the ultimate is tamato, cheese raw onion with a bit of mayo with it.
Another one is some spinach, feta with ham or bacon.
Then normal cheese and ham
Mushrooms, bacon and onion with a tiny bit of cheese

DF loves bacon and egg ones. I used to love egg with a bit of chicken salt, or back when I could actually eat it - egg with cheese and chicken salt. Mmmmmm!!!!
Also, leftover mince and potatoes are really good as well.

yum I'm having toasted sammies for lunch just about every day at the moment! Usually creamed corn (without cheese if I'm being good, with cheese if I'm not lol), sometimes cheese & onion or cheese & pineapple.
kiwisj we obviously have similar tastes!

The toasted sandwich makers are the best (the ones that seal around the edge) as you can put almost anything in them. Bacon and egg is great, so is mince and cheese or pretty much any left overs.
If you use a George Foreman etc like we do it's a bit harder. But like the others have said ham and cheese (Jack's fav), add tomato, onion, pineapple
Mmmm, considering trying to buy a new sandwich maker!!

I have always loved cheese and jam - pref raspberry. We always had it when I was growing up, but lots of my friends seem to think it's strange!

I pretty much will add anything and everything. Toasted sammies are the type of thing you can add anything to. Weegee we had cheese and jam growing up too, never with apricot or mamalade ust with any of the berry jams. Yummo
