My tummy jumps with my pulse anyways - a nurse friend told me that the aorta runs straight down the front there, so that explained it.  I thought that being the daughter of two drummers/muso's, our baby had naturally amazing rhythm (of course!! ha ha) and was wriggling to a constant beat...  until I felt for my pulse in my neck and found the same tune being beaten out there (oh for shame!).

Why is it not the best to lay on your right hand side? Or is that something someone said just because it was uncomfy?
When do you start feeling hiccups? I've been feeling these little pulsing things to my lower right and think that they could be hiccups- ive had them twice and do get a little wriggle around in there afterwards but dunno if thats them or not- and what causes them?

Hiccups come from bubs accidentally inhaling a lil bit too much fluid. Nothing to worry about! They're quite repetitive and rhythmic.

I started to feel light hiccups after about 25-28 weeks? I'm really not sure, but she gets them all the time now. Bubs seems to get hiccups after I have a drink hehe it's quite funny. It's like she's had a big gulp too!

I was told by my midwife that laying on the right side was the best for blood flow?? So i spend most my night on that side.Works for me i guess. Aston gets the hiccups about 2-3times a day now. I can feel the pulse feeling in my lower area and sometimes in my butt lol and the top of my tummy also rises with each one.then they just dissaper after a while...
