Me and gabriel snuggled up together in my bed with the curtains open watching the fireworks going off ... there were some really pretty ones, some very spectacular ones and some that just couldnt out do the wind! Then hubby came home and made milo and snuggled in with us...
It was really nice and a true feel good parenting moment!

aww sounds lovely! I know the fireworks are disruptive for everyone's babies, and in general I agree that public sales should be banned, but it is one of the things I miss about living in the 'burbs, no fireworks out here in the wops.

oh I love fireworks and hope they don;t bann the sales of them... I lived in Uk where you can't buy them and it just wasn't the same. Every year we buy some and have them in our back yard (we didn't tonight since it was raining)

people were letting them off and yup distrubed Rhylz going to sleep but not for long he got use to it...

BIZZY: That sounds like such a lovely moment for you and Gabriel and when DH came home - something to treasure and remember

Bizzy, that sounds lovely.

Michaela and I drove into town to DH's office which overlooks the Wellington Harbour and the 3 of us sat in the office cuddling while we watched the public display.

The 4 of you

That sounds nice, Bizzy! We dressed Ash up warm in her pyjamas, dressing gown and gumboots and lit some sparklers in the back yard but she did not want a bar of it! She hated them! I was a tad nervous with the wind. Maybe we can try again on the weekend.

We took Caleb outside in his jammies and sleeping bag and he cuddled up on my lap while Brooke and her friend set off fireworks. He was trying to catch the smoke from the sparklers ... so cute.

Sounded Lovely!

I quite enjoy fireworks. Keira had been talking about them all day, so when we did some in the evening with friends, I bundles her up in her sleeping bad and we went on the lawn and watched. I was really surprised she wasnt scared by them at all, she was just so tired she went and put herself back to bed half way through. It was very cute watching her reinacting them today.

Awww nice! I let Maya watch them from her bedroom window last night and let her have the camera to take pics, the pics were pretty crap coz it was dark and she was inside but she had fun.

Weegee - the cruising club are having their annual fireworks do tomorrow night so you might see them from your place?
