Topic: Best time to test? Posted: 11 November 2008 at 5:02pm |
Yip I know the best time is after period is due but today I had literally just a small spot of blood when going to the bathroom (twice today)(tmi I know, sorry).
Usually I start out full force. Due to PCOS I expect period anytime from Thursday to Saturday (if I take previous months into account) With McKayla I just fell pregnant and I am a really impatient woman. Grant will say test a week from now. I cant wait a week.
So two days enough perhaps? And what test is the best one with the lowest level needed to test positive.
I am so so so hoping I am pregnant.

In my experience the Clear Blue is possibly better. With this pg I got a very strong +ve on the 2nd of my missed AF where as with Jack I was almost 5wks and only got a faint line with First Response.
As for testing I am impatient too so I say test whenever you are ready, don't force yourself to wait!
Good luck!

I say wait a week... you know that if you get a BFN you won't believe it and will have to test anyway! (If you're anything like me!!) Go for next Monday

I found the quick cards to be really reliable, they are one of the best for not giving evap lines and they pick up levels of 25 so can pick up positives normally before a period is even due.
Personally I would test today, then again tomorrow and then Thursday, Friday and everyday until I got a postivie or AF.
DH use to tell me instead of testing I should just wait until I got fat Suppose it could have been worse, he could have thought I was already fat.

lol marissa!
i tested the day before AF with jack and got BFN....wasn't until almost 2wks later that i thought 'oh yeah i haven't had AF yet'
with charli, i tested the day AF was due and got a very faint BFP......i used first response both times
if i was you, i'd test now and get it over with....if BFN, i'd test everyday til BFP or AF

I do apologise for double posting somewhat, as I put this as a reply to the other thread you might have posted by accident (identical to this one).
Anyway...
***
Shirena - it could be implantation bleeding, and unfortunately I'm going to have to side with your husband on this one, waiting a week would be ideal for seeing the result you want.
The brand of test that is supposed to be the most sensitive is Discover, it only requires 15iu/ml of HCG to be in your urine - the next lot up are then either 25 or 50.
Good luck!

Yip sorry about the double post. M pushed the button again after I posted it. Kids and technology.
I am really trying to be patient and wait here but it is freaking hard. Grant told me test but you know you will just end up testing every day until it is positive.
More slight spotting this morning. Not even enough to wear a panty liner. Really hoping this is implantation bleeding. Trying to wait until at least Friday or Saturday morning.

OMG, I would have tested But then I am a POAS-a-holic. I used the Discover tests the day AF was due and got good strong BFP. (Discover or Discovery, can never remember which one.. but they are expensive and pink!)
Hold out as long as you can is what I say

Couldnt wait anymore until tomorrow morning so bought 3 test. First one came positive immediately before the control one even came up.
So anyone that want 2 free tests just pm me. One is the discovery one.
